Looking forward to the pictures especially if you've got a size comparison against a old and primaris marine

Indeed and I'll be waiting for pics too. I hope you get some of the "hidden" figs as well.

I'm interested in at least a couple, just to throw some variety into my chapter.

I do like the grenade and Flamer marines the most, and I think the dude running w the knife looks badass.

Got mine this weekend and assembled a set of them. They are the size of the deathwatch marines, a bit smaller than primaris marines. They look a bit taller as they are on molded terrain bases and are stepping on rubble, etc. They are all in awesome poses, which makes them seem bigger as they are reaching out, throwing grenades, etc. The coolest thing is the head joint is easy to magnetize, and they each come with a helmet and non-helmeted heads. Each face is unique and matches their character/card (too bad I cant read Japanese).

A rhino set comes with two complete sets of all twelve marines, including both "hidden marines". If pre-ordered, you could get a single copy of the hero space marine captain. The captain is separate and not part of the rhino blind packs. I was lucky enough to get a single captain.

I also ordered a rhino and assembled one set of marines. They look great on my shelf and in game. I ended up with an extra set of the set of twelve. If anyone ordered a sealed rhino, you should get two complete sets too.

Thanks! If you could post a pic of the secret captain, that would be awesome. I agree after seeing the pics that they do seem right smack dab inbetween primaris and regular marines and probably closest to the deathwatch figs.

I really like that Captain!

Anyone looking for these, do join the FB group in my sig,

We've got at least one member in Japan who can pick up the whole box. 18000¥, confirmed to have two of each sculpt.

Works out to around £120, but as per the group rules, it's strictly At Cost, so no scalping guaranteed.

Are you splitting the boxes on the group or just getting whole set? If splitting Any chance to get in on that for the Facebook haters like me Doc?

That I don't know. I just set up the group, I don't actually run it in any meaningful sense

But if you've got a FB friendly mate and want to split with them? Single box contains two of each, barring the Captain that is of course, because reasons sold separately.

That comparison photo is a bit misleading.

The japan hero marines are elevated by the rubble on their base which they are standing on, whereas the 1998 marine and primaris are on flat bases.

The 1998 marine is also on a standard 25mm base which is lower than the standard 32mm as well.

They are probably more like a deathwatch mk8 marine in height, and not as tall as the picture suggests!

The picture posted earlier is misleading. The hero marine's necklines are mid chest level on a primaris. Remember that the primaris will also be taller on a sculpted base. Here is an accurate pic.

Actually I looked at HLJ yesteday and the Spacemarine Heroes box was shown as discontinued. I had a look just now and I can't even find it by searching within the site. Was this actually a limited release?

Tsk tsk tsk...nice little kits, but they do immediately point out the absurdity of GW claiming their single press-fit characters are worth $35-40... Hope there is a second line with some cool tech marines or apothecaries or something. I've no use for normal marines at the moment.

makes sense, I'm going to go to my neighborhoods Kinokunya (japanese book/toy store) and see if they can order them. I get my copies if G-Works & Option there and I know they can order a ton of stuff. if they do I'm gonna get a rhino set. So if you live in an area with a Japanese market they might know where the closest toy/novelty store is.
