Looking good. That's a great colour combo. What paints you use? Will you be adding a few serial numbers or barcodes?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

This is a thing of beauty and made my day. In particular, I love all your different textures and weathering patterns. The blue and white lights look really, really good too!

Nice work on the transporter bob. It's very well constructed and the paintjob is subtle and beautiful. Good stuff.

I wanted the transporter to look like it was landing (or taking off) giving some movement to the piece I think it looks pretty good, pictures not great though

I'm mixed on the exhaust, but the model is ACES. It really came together, congrats!

Model photography is a skill in and of itself. I wouldn't worry too much, you're doing fine!

made a start on the first level of the rig, need to add some chequer plate walkways for movement around the vats when in place and to tidy up those edges, made some girders from plastikard and added nuts, made the panelling out of cereal box and also added bolt heads

starting the base level I was nit happy the way the sea looked in varnish so gave it a coat of clear resin which gives it a much better realistic wet look, cant get a great picture of it but looks so much better

This is awesome man. That water looks perfect, grimy, oily, rough. The transporter lifting off is AMAZING what a cool idea!

thanks for comments

needed to tidy up the edges on the games workshop floor panels which was done with foamboard and chequer plate lasticard handmade edging and miniature nuts and bolts, the triangle hole I covered with chequer plate and greenstuff sculpted to look like it's a welded repair

the connecting tabs under the floor stopped it being level so marked and will have to be grounded down to fit

just the small matter of painting all those pipes and cables now

thanks, making a start on them soon, finished weathering the floor as someone said before the landing pad walkways were a little blocky with the remaining paint, so weathered these down more and looks better will weather down the landing pad in due course

made a start on vats, wanted the cracked paint on the panels came out really well on the ochre which was Vallejo air, but games workshop air does not work as you can see on the red, will have to find Vallejo equal

received Vallejo red air and straight away it worked with the crackle effect so I guess it's GW paints are too thick

while I was waiting for paint to come I started fencing along the walkway to front

Wow this is a lovely terrain project. I'm actually blown away most by the water. It looks so realistic and violent, I love it. Really gives the vibe of a massive storm out in the middle of some alien sea, with disgruntled Prometheum refinery workers walking across rusted platforms while some horrible xenos monsters waits beneath the surface, hoping one of the workers falls off and becomes a tasty morsel.

I'll definitely be following this! Exalted!

Just read through the whole thread. What amazing work.

Very creative and the amount of detail you’re putting in really bring it to life.

Can’t wait to see it finished!

I like the landing shuttle. I think it captures the spirit of what they intended for the Storm Raven than the kit by itself does.

thank you, pleased the way it came out

not done too much to it but added some more railings to base level all with same worn paint look, also starting the detailing on vats
