The 12 days of Reaper starts today, so if you spend $40 you get the miniature of the day, plus the miniature of the month, and if you hit $65, you get a goody bag as well...

Here are the 12 day miniatures:

What are the odds that I would use that Mocking Beast in the game?... (Pretty sure around 100%.)

The Auld Grump

Ironically, those Faeries on the garland are the only small Faeries in Reaper's entire catalogue. Every other one is human-sized.

Yes, but those faeries are the perfect size for the game Fairy Meat, since they are literally 1:1 scale minis. These faeries are too small.

That is a nice line-up of minis. Reaper generally does nice things at Christmas. However, Tinker the Gnome... urgh. Reaper is a-trollin' with that one. ( A certain demographic of D&D players will understand.)

Could be worse*, could be a Gully Dwarf....

The Auld Grump - or a Kender.

* I could actually use a steampunk gnome for some games.

Ah yes, that's what I thought it was. Nice to see my misspent youth paying off.

Tinker gnomes are pretty much the least horrible of Krynn's offerings, to be fair.

Just when you thought 2018 was done... there's MOAR!

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/johan/sku-down/01633

01633: Johan Rumbleguts, Dwarf Hero Metal Edition ($9.99)
0 in stock
Bobby Jackson
This Special Edition miniature was crafted to help out our dear friend Jason Wiebe, who has recently undergone several major surgeries. 100% of all the monies collected from this miniature will go directly to Jason to help him with his medical bills.

There will only be 1000 metal castings of this miniature ever sold. All the production molds will be sent to Jason Wiebe after all 1000 castings have been produced. Please join us in helping out our friend Jason Wiebe!

We'd like to thank Bobby Jackson for the sculpting, David Baker, Paul Figgins and the fine folks at Trenchworx for printing the model and for the resin casting, and Ben and Jeff Rodman of Fortress Figures for making the metal masters for our production molds.

Looks like this is out of stock but still a fantastic gesture by Reaper. A lot of people in the hobby are freelancers with neither health insurance nor royalites from their work, this should not be necessary but it's nice for them to do it.

Meanwhile my Felinid army now has a Primaris Psyker

And a crusader

And Runequest players are finally getting some love!

Enjoying these orcs, they're very reminiscent of the old Hobbit cartoon. Man that was good. Someone ought to make a live-action version.

We have a new contender for the silliest hat prize

And a female barbarian from the frozen north where people are hardy and clothing is hard to come by.

And OMG so cute!

On the bones side there's two big monsters

Neither makes me squee, but they're both solid beasties.

So one last wave of releases, good, strange and great. Hoping for more of the same in 2019!

Indeed. The ducks called themselves Keets, IIRC. Somewhere in my basement, along with ancient issues of Dragon magazine and such, is a copy of the 2nd edition Runequest rulebook from 1979-1980. A game I never did get play much. Apparently a new edition released this year.

Ooooh, I would love thos orcs (and the few more in similair style) for LoTR Mordor Uruk Hai, but I guess the scale would be waaaay off? These are more heroic right?

The little letter to the left of them is both an indication of scale (it is 1cm IIRC, so you can work it out from there) and also telling you what material the model is made of ("M" for metal and "B" for Bones).

EDIT- Here's KK's post earlier ITT that shows it better

Well that's twice I thought Reaper 2018 was over and twice I was wrong...

https://www.facebook.com/ReaperMini/

We’re excited to announce an amazing new product line for 2019 and beyond: Reaper Bones Black!

Since launching our Reaper Bones miniatures in 2012, Reaper Miniatures has produced and shipped over 25 million plastic models to gamers and painters around the world. But despite the success of Reaper Bones, we continually look for ways to improve our products. We’ve taken everything that makes Reaper Bones Miniatures so successful and enhanced it. We’ve always listened to our customers, and after years of feedback, we made Reaper Bones Miniatures even better with Reaper Bones Black.
• High Detail – Reaper Bones Black holds more detail and is equal to resin or metal
• Rigid Material – weapons and thin parts are much more rigid and hold their shape, but still flexible enough to withstand constant handling
• Improved Pigmentation – Reaper Bones Black models are tinted dark grey for ease of painting and viewing
• Reduced Seam and Shift Lines - produced with high-grade steel molds, Reaper Bones Black models are cleaner, crisper, and require less cleaning

But we didn’t change everything. Customers can expect the same great features with Reaper Bones Black as they do with Reaper Bones.
• Amazing sculpts – created by the best artists in the gaming industry
• Consumer-friendly pricing – Reaper Bones Black gives customers great value for their dollars
• Wide selection – Reaper Bones Black will continue to provide consumers a variety of options to suit all types of gaming.
• Painter Friendly – made for painters and gamers, by painters and gamers.
• Ready to Paint – just a quick rinse with soap and water and you’re ready to paint
• Scaled to Fit – Reaper Bones Black models are the same size and scale as all Reaper miniatures and all modern gaming models
• Integral Bases – Reaper Bones Black models come with integral bases so they’re ready to play with right out of the package
• Always in Stock – Reaper Bones Black models won’t go out of stock and can always be reordered. You’ve got the demand. We’ve got the supply.

To launch Reaper Bones Black, we’ll be giving away nearly 150,000 free Reaper Bones Black miniatures throughout 2019. This will give painters, gamers, and retailers an opportunity to try Reaper Bones Black themselves. More details will be coming soon on www.reapermini.com

Look for regular Reaper Bones Black monthly releases in spring 2019!

Reaper Bones Black FAQ coming this week!

So some sort of improvement on Bones with more detail, which I think we can all support.

Who knows, there's still 12 hours left for Reaper to launch a line of Sci Fi Were Sharks or Post Apocalyptic Angels with machine guns! 2018 ain't over yet!
