ok, super late entry as i did not even know if i could finish in time as i desided to have a go at it 5 days ago, but as of today i only have basework and varnish left, so yea i will make it in time, and i will represent as per usual the tabletop quality painter crowd
(taking the pics is going to be challenge due to the size..)

my entry is a medium mecha from Dust 1947, IJN faction; Tengu. (lets get some weight in this thread)

Cutting it far too close again:

Still missing some highlights, the shoulder pads and the bases for my Deathwing Knights, gonna see if I can get them all finished up or only enter some of them.

And the Porphyrion is done. "The Shackled" joins the ranks of House AErthegn in support of Legio Xestobiax in it's fight against the False Emperor! (Given as AT takes place narratively during the Horus Heresy, Xestobiax and Aerthegn were at the time allied with Horus against the Emperor. Following Horus' defeat, Xestobiax was eventually purged of it's xenoheretical beliefs and brought back into the fold of the Mechanicum, although no word on the survival of the Knight Household Aerthegn).

It was nice to finish this and get it off my backlog, even though it's unlikely I'll ever actually play Titanicus again (it does look pretty as a collection on the shelf though, so no regrets). It was also a great palette cleanser to work on something like this without being too fussy with details, and metallics as opposed to NMM! Just a nice, no-pressure piece to push paint around without any obligations.

This little badger has been so much fun to paint - great texture all over for my lazy (aka drybrushing) venture in to Grisaille painting. With the demonic red eyes, I'm not sure I'd like her when she's angry...

bleh, i was right, taking the pics was going to be my biggest issue, the model is too big for my workspace and my camera. Atleast you get the sum of it.

Bah. I have been hit with massive loss of enthusiasm for painting my tank. I’ll have to bow out of this month. Lots of good work and progress. Keep it up everyone!

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Just a heads up that Nevelon will be setting up the poll for this round and next month's main challenge thread as I've just moved and the wifi is a bit spotty right now.

Looking forward to seeing the spooktacular entries emerging in October though!

I'm probably going to need an extension until the end of the weekend to have any chance of finishing this . *So* much Zandri Dust...

Looks like I won't quite be able to finish the VLoZD for the end of the day, but I'll hopefully be able to finish by Sunday as that's when I'm using him in-game!

The Vampire and the base are completed, all I need to finish is the dragon's muscles, skin, horns and various metallic trophies. I *might* be able to get that done tonight, but it's not likely.

I'll post it when I'm done either way, even if I am a touch late!

Well, I bit off more than I could chew. No way I'm going to get these bad Boyz finished today. Combination of trying to paint too many miniatures at once, work, starting late, building a "new" PC, DIY, kids and The Outer Wilds DLC.

Anyway - I'll post more somewhere on here when (if?) I finish them.

It sounds like a lot of people could use a little extra time. I can wait on putting the poll together until after the weekend. New month will go up as normal tomorrow.

But no painting some heavy metal spooky stuff over the weekend and entering it in both competitions!

Hi, all.

Been a while since I felt like painting, but I thought it was about time I got something up. This guy is mostly done but I wasn't sure I would feel like finishing - hence the late proof. I should get finished photos up soon.

Proof.

Finished my Deathwing Knights. Might still touch up a couple details with the extra time, but I need a break from painting for now. So please use these pictures, I will update the post if I do any more over the weekend:

Yes, that’s me. My PC failed this week, and consulting the tech-priest about it has used up much time,

Heh - now someone really needs to make a diorama out of the two Marine bikers, I mean even though they're technically both loyalists they look like they'd surely be up to some friendly jousting ^^

Finished the last member of my Sisters of Sigmar Heroines, so here are the final shots:

Still coming to grips with the new phone camera, but I like it so far. If you're wondering, why the floaty lady has snow on her base: It's not, because I forgot this will be a snowless warband... No, No, No! It is because she is channeling Sigmar's power and that brings the snow – like when the Queen of the fairies appears on Discworld

And as you can see, some hands are a bit on the mutant side. I messed up with the superglue, but luckily the next batch of Sisters was treated with more care.

Put the paint brush down now but looks like my main camera has died so a quick shot from my phone and will try again tomorrow.

Final Pic.

Not my favorite kit to build. Seemed to need more cleanup than a normal marine box, especially the backpack vents. Painted fairly easy. More edges than normal needed highlights, but they were blocky, even for marine standards, so that was sort of a wash. I’ll need to get 5 more for my company (more if I want to get my Deathwatch back on track) but these will do for now. Not expecting them to do well in the polls, as we’ve all seen a LOT of my ultras over the years, and these are just banged out to my table-top standard. But they are done and out of the pile of shame, ready to enforce the Emperor’s will on an uncaring universe.

We could never have enough of your marines, Nev. You must have a massive collection!

Also loving the orcs Maharg and MG.

Here is my entry after a few months away. It is meant to be Papa Nurgle taking over and corrupting a stormcast eternal, the rust and corrosion corrupting the shiny nmm armour. I think the idea mostly works...
It was interesting picking up a brush - my hand/eye coordination needs to be remembered but it felt good.

I am really happy to have something finished...now Maharg and MG have me hankering for some orks!!!

Good luck to everyone!

See everyone in Halloween month I hope!
