Nice! But I'd still get more Bazookas if at all possible for when you face the inevitable German Armour.

How do you plan to use this force?
Fun play or tournament play?
To take a objective or deny the objective?

His list deffinatly is for defending.

I think that might be the problem though. There is nothing mobile...

The list is made for fun play, we just started not too long ago and I started out as parachute troopers, then decided to just do a normal rifle company using some parachute elements. We're doing the africa compaign, so right now my only opponents are germans and italians. There are about fifteen guys playing, however all of the "bad guys" chose to be germans, with only one italian. The Allies are much more diverse, mainly Americans and British, but we do have some of the smaller countries. The list is designed to launch an overwhelming assault on one board edge, while defending the objective on the other board edge. To do this, the command platoon, both parachute platoons, the 2 rifle platoons with bazookas, and the weapons platoon will race down one side of the board edge to grab the objective, using their "trot" abilitiy and making sure they end up concealed in woods or behind terrain so that no one can shoot at them until they're too close to dislodge. Then the platoons move out of the woods, firing on the move with with the parachute troopers leading the way because the enemy only hits them on fours. The weapons platoon gets in position to lay down fire support while the rifle platoons clear up the objective and win me the game. In the mean time, should the enemy try to assault the other objective, he's staring down the barrel of 12 Heavy Machine Guns, 3 m3 37's, 3 m1 51's, and 4 .50 cal AA MG's...... that's roughly 106 shots at infantry, or 88 shots at infantry and 18 shots at tanks.....

Don't forget the Americans "trot" Ability..... every one of my infantry can move 16" a turn should I choose, darting between building and trees and grabbing cover.... I would think 16" is very mobile, very mobile indeed.

Where you play at?

I'm part of Houston's 77th, we're a fairly large gaming group in Houston Texas. We've bounced around from store to store because we had problems with owners. One store liked to close early on us.... and by early I mean like 5 p.m. when they were supposed to be open till midnight. Another never kept any merchandice stocked, and was frequently having the power and water turned off because he didn't pay his bills because "the government was evil". The last store we were at was a games workshop, with which we had a great relationship with not only the workers, but also the manager, and the regional manager, all of whom understood that us being there two nights a week meant a huge increase in sales not only from the veterans, but also from people walking in off the street. However the problem there was that they only "really" wanted us there for two nights a week, and we couldn't play FoW. So, we made our own "store". The guys went out and rented out a very nice office space from a storage facility, one that had been custom made by the previous renter, and now we play there any day, any time, and any game we want. The downside is having to pay a monthly fee and a potential lack of new faces, the upsides have already been stated. We do however still host tournaments and such at the Games Workshop store every month in order to stay on good terms.

And yes, I do realise that was an awful long way of saying "Houston Texas"

I wish I had a group of dedicated FOW players like that...

You resolution of the gaming situation I feel is the wave of the future!

Unfortunatly, with GW following the business practice of "moving in, shutting down the other stores in the area, and then they themselves closing due to the lack of profits it took for them to close down the other stores", it may very well be. Luckily where I'm from, the GW stores are doing very well, and though they have closed several other stores, or simply allowed stupid owners to run themselves out of business, the regional director for GW here is simply a great guy, and as such the profits for the area are some of the highest in the U.S.

Yeah NH better buisness is wise to that fact they cant do that in this state so we where told by them(NHBB) anyway....with so many sales lost to the internet we no longer carry any GW product....we still do events thou...We got a good bunch of guys that show for big events but regulay weekly play isnt very big around here any more compared to the past. Most every one plays Warmachine and FOW a little AT-43...Wish we had a good GW guy for the New England area Since the last guy Drew left its been all down hill.

Glad to here your area is doing well!
