I want to do a "dark-age-tech" human force. I'm still not sure whether to adapt tau, eldar, lost-and-damned, or guard rules, (I want a balance between army strength and flavor) but I know what kind of look I'm aiming for. I'm still collecting concept art for it, though. Here's a cool grav tank render I found:

please post any and all cool non-gothic scifi stuff you can find for my project, particularly grav tank

Went digging through my old posts, and guess what? I've been hating on mat ward since before it was cool

Look for Renegade Legion: Centurion. Its a one stop shop for gravtanks.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Thats a cool hover tank by Antenciti, well except for the surf board on the side, but thats easily removeable. I'm not sure they will be able to sell it though, with so many of the pieces having obviously come from other models.

Sadly Centurion tanks were never made in large scale, just 1/285th. They were some of the best advanced tank designs out there. Looking for some photos i can link but just not finding any. Its out of production by several years now.

I did find an image of the models, remember they are 1/285 so not a ton of detail.

Ground Zero Games produces a whole range of 25/28mm scale sci-fi tanks and vehicles:

Though pictures are spotty, they produce many of the same vehicles in 15mm and 1/300 -- so take a look at those ranges from their main store page:

if you want to look at the basics of what you're buying. I got addicted to them for their spaceship minis, but their armor and 25mm figures look like they could make alright standins in 40k.

I'm already familiar with DLD, Pig Iron, Ground Zero, Scotia-Grendel, and Old Crow. I'm wondering if there are any others out there. I'm also eager for images in general. I might just use 1/48th scale Merkeva and Leopard tanks and convert my own.

Also, other sci-fi stuff would be good too.

Kevin Dalimore's website has some very nice Old Crow models that he converted:

FASA had plastics made for both the Renegade Legion and Centurian tanks. All are probaby much too tiny to be useful, unless you're planning an Epic scale version of your army.

To be fair, dumbucket was origuinally looking for images not kits, hence the render in the first post. so the scale of Centruion miniatures isnt really relevant. The inspiration is. I have some of the old FASA plastics, the quality was nothing to write home about.

If you want gravtanks for 40k, then who will be using them. Tau and Eldar? we already have their imagery. Imperium? All the above tnks are way too sleek, but you could rivet plate them easily enough.

Dark-Age level high-tech humans, Orlanth. First sentence in the first post. Possibly with tau or eldar rules, though.
