"Rackham are pleased to announce the launch of Fire Industries. There dedicated resin miniatures division on 16.04.07

Tasked with providing support for all of Rackhams existing games systems including AT 43. The portfolio will include Games terrain, vignette bases, and collector’s figures, as well as large monsters and weapons systems unsuited to white metal production. There will be a range of alternative weapons and upgrades to complement the forthcoming styrene kit releases for AT 43.

This U.K. based operation will initially be direct sales only. It is hoped to have a presence on the show circuit in due course. With access to some of the industries best designers pattern makers and sculptors: it is hoped to rapidly create a reputation for realistically priced, top quality products.

The initial set of releases will be on sale 16.04.07 details to follow."

I have my Gripes About PrePainted basiclly "rubber" models an have had words with other on this forum about the clean casting of plastic and metal vs. rubber and the fear of the industry turning to this rubber mini craze.

I am ecstatic to hear that not only will AT-43 have True plastic kits but also it's own "forge world" this means the new version of Confrontation might see more troop level plastic. For me this is truly great news.

We should all Celebrate  Rackhams Blossom into Major player and Cherish Diversity in choice of Wargames Companies...
I knew this was going to happen and I think This is a sign of the times for G.W. Privateer might be #2 but once those Rackham plastics start pourin....you all know where those extra pennies will go.

Crap in a hat. I guess I'm doomed to get those Neosov dudes...

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Interesting. First they start up a GW-esque business models of simpler rules for bigger games, then they kick off their own Forgeworld. I wonder what's out next in the zany world of Rackham.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

What's next really is a whole lot of pre-painted plastic kits, apparently.

I'm not too sure how many "troop level" non-pre-painted (!) plastic kits we'll ever see.

Okay. Once the styrene kits hit the market, I'll start playing AT-43.

Styrene kits typically are just plastic kits?I believe that the announcement is for plain plastic kits and resin extras. Not for Pre painted styrene models. I think the pre painted rubber thing is just for quick intro, lazy, busy and younger players

The styrene kits are (would be) geared towards gamers like me who love Kit bashing and spending loads of time modeling and or building large armies. Especially the fire industries stuff for conversions. I just hope this takes with confrontation. With Cadwallon needing a back drop of models buying and converting plastic troops for each faction would be much cheaper.

I compare Rackham to G.W. besides the fact that their worlds are tolken based, the systems art and fluff are much different. even the style of sculpt is different. As most Game companies, they have fantasy and Sci-fi version of their world.

I love the models and can't wait to see cheap clean plastics
