Hooo boy! That is a piece of work! Great job on the weathering, makes me wish I'd done more on mine... Also really like the yellow face mask - really adds a focal point to the colour scheme

Thanks Luther! You can always go back and do more weathering, ever since I discovered oils I've been using them on all my bigger models. Agreed on the mask as well, love doing yellow helms and masks for the extra contrast.

It such an amazing piece!

Don't take this as me bashing the model/painting as you are very skilled, the only small thing that slightly bugged me was the tilt shield next to the face is dirty and quite weathered towards the bottom, in my head something that far up in the air would be damaged, but not encrusted with dirt. Thats just me trying to not take away from such a great model

Thanks Nerdy! I'll be working on more knights soon so keep any eye out!

Thanks! I've had this kit built and magnetized every since it was first released. Just never took the time to start but once I did it went by fast. It's actually quite a joy to paint. Good luck with your!

Thanks Knightley and no worries - I don't take it as bashing. I agree completely about the shield and it wasn't my intention to weather it towards the bottom. I had to do it because the BA decal I used didn't set properly and had the outline visible after I put it down. The only option was to try and remove and redo it completely or airbrush over the outlines - I got lazy and airbrushed it but guess I couldn't fool you

Ugh I hate when you get that one transfer that just won't set... Could always put it down to scortch from some weapon the shield deflected

Yup, the frosting drives me crazy. I notice the newer transfers like the ones that come with the knight are a lot better but I was using the BA symbol from the old SM rhino decal - those usually have some sort of frosting in my experience regardless of the gloss coat surface or microsol/microset applied. Oh well - scorched shield it is!

Love that Egg, all the little details really make it look authentic. Nicely done.

Finished another dread a few days ago to add to my ever growing collection. This one is the classic AoBR dread.

Nice, look forward to seeing them done. I'm doing a bunch of walkers at the moment - doing a dread knight in BA colours at the moment.

Thanks Gits! I'm quite happy with the way it turned out as well. Can't wait to get some better shots of it once the model is done.

I think that's the best compliment I can get...knowing that my work inspires others keeps me motivated in painting and posting. Thanks for sharing and hope to see your BA army up here sometime soon!

Finished off the Nem Dreadknight tonight and took some photos:

That is seriously cool!

If I had to describe your work in one word (and it would be hard to narrow it down to one) it would have to be 'inspirational' because every time I see one of your finished models it fills me with a burning desire to paint one myself!
