I had to look twice, if I read that right with the cabbage, but apparently I did That mini looks fun, excited for color on it. And not much more to add to the other comments, Fett looks great in that color scheme and that ooze is so lifelike it's scary. A bit like the black oil on the X-Files.

Thank you, thank you, everyone. Muchly appreciated.

Quick WiP. One small step for Contrast, one giant leap for Wraithkind.

Keep on keepin' on. Thanks again, and thanks for looking!

These Wraiths made me go out and buy some Kurnoth Hunters and get back on a Sylvaneth kick....Thanks.

I hadn't realized as i shoot through pictures so quick that the ooze was all hot glue and stuff, I seriously thought that it was some model from reaper and actually looked for it at the FLGS the other day. That should tell me to slow down and read more. Anyway, great job with the glue gun and paint work.

LOL, Theo your mind is an amazing place, never change.-camkierhi 9/19/13

Well those are looking great, even if it is just a quick WIP. Those tree bodies are the sort of model that contrast works really well on, and I like the choice of colours overall, particularly the rich blue cloth.

You're welcome, Theo. Glad I could be of service. If I ever played AoS, I would be hard-pressed to not have an army of Sylvaneth, too.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Another small WiP of a detail I am happy I put in but am still not sure is worth the trouble. Made press molds of the large gem on the back of the Wraithlord to fill the belly gap. Figure it is a shielded housing for the spirit stone. I imagine the body growing up and around it during the waking ritual. A small thing, but it changes the model up and brings a bit more Eldar to it.

Thanks for looking!

Fantastic conversions on those wraithguard, the model lines blend seamlessly together! pulling of an Eldar conversion is no simple feat, the armor styles and scales are all different unit to unit but this is excellent.

I'm extremely interested to see any ideas you got along this line, keep up the great work

These wraithguard just keep getting better and better. Outstanding work. Loved that Ooze monster too. Fantastic scratch-building. Too bad I’ve already exalted!

Love the little detail - and I am a sucker for something that rarely gets seen, but when it does gives me a smile - perhaps the reason I am overwhelmed with grey plastic, but hey ho!

Thanks for sharing

That additional gem detail is looking great and good to see some more sci-fi wood elves emerge!

Really great take on the Wraithbone theme with the converted Wraithguard.

Thank you all for the compliments. Always appreciated.

Finished the two Wraithguard. Two more to go. Thinking in terms of units is a trap. I suppose I could have just painted one of these, and of each type of model I have planned. A collection of concepts rather than an army. Oh, well. I can hope it will look cool taking up a grip of room on the shelf when all is said and done.

And with the one finished previously.

As always, thanks for looking!

The tree Wraiths are a great idea. Craftworld Lorax.

I think the collective really hammers home how well the concept works. One by itself would be much less satisfying.... but perhaps that is the inner hoarder speaking!

I’ve really liked your take on the Wraiths looking forward to seeing a unit of them. As for a group shot I’m ready to raise my hand and say yes please.

Awesome work youwashock. The green on their heads and purple on the weapons are cool additions. Keep em coming!

Cool seeing the group together. The models are great by themselves, but I love the bases. That rich red combined with the snow is just amazing.

Thanks very much, all of you.

Yorkie, I will definitely be getting a group shot once the last two models for this unit are done.

Completely unrelated WiP. Had a couple Marine minis kicking around in my head that I finally broke ground on. One is an update to the power armored version of the commander of my nearly nonexistent Marine army. Did a little microsurgery on his backpack. Just because, I guess. Still needs a little putty and trimming, but I had better let the glue dry.

Still working. Plenty to do. Thanks for looking!

Microsurgery is quite enough to create unique pieces, so why not

But if you do, you certainly have unique pieces in your collection. So unique they can now be identified through biometry...

Lovely bit of micro surgery, a really effective tweak. Well done for not slicing any digits too!

Microsurgery indeed. I mean I know how small those details are, how did you not slice of your fingers? And worth it, the backpack looks great!

Thank you, thank you. I will endeavor to not become YouWaShock of the Nine Fingers.

So, not much happening around here. Illness (nothing serious) and a family vacation plus holidays have all made things slow to a mere trickle. Like I was setting the world on fire before...anyway...

Nev is doing his advent posting this year. I think that is a fun idea, and with his blessing will be trying to do the same. At least it will get some pics of minis in here. Looking to get some oldies up, as well. Stuff I have not posted here before. But first...

Spoiler:

Let's kick things off with a Zoat. Why? Because I love Zoats. This definitely won't be the last one here. I had a great time painting this guy and am still quite happy with how he turned out. Also to be able to fit him in so nicely with the Exodite project. Also, Gyrinx. Stoked to see a mini for this old-school throwback get released in modern times. What does the future hold for our scaly friend and his unwanted feline companion? Time will tell. At least I hope it will.

Thanks for looking! Let's see if I can keep this up until Xmas!

I’d almost forgotten how good Grimlock was! The gems are masterful, as is the belly. Fingers crossed you can keep up the advent until the 24th!
