Having never played at 1850, I'm trying to come up with a viable list for an 1850 tournament I'll be attending later this year. I've basically added on 350 points worth onto my tournament 1500 list, however I am aware that this may not be ideal. Thoughts and criticisms welcome.

HQ:

Autarch on jetbike, mandiblaster, fusion gun and laser lance

Elites:

6 Fire Dragons
Wave Serpent, TL Shuricannon, extra Shuricannon, spirit stone, vectored engines
6 Harlequins all with kisses, shadowseer upgrade

Troops:

5 Pathfinders
5 Pathfinders

Fast Attack:

8 Warp Spiders inc. Exarch with extra Spinner
6 Warp Spiders inc. Exarch with extra Spinner
4 Shining Spears inc. Exarch, skilled rider, hit and run

Heavy Support:

Fire Prism + Shuricannon, Holofields, spirit stone
Fire Prism + Shuricannon, Holofields, spirit stone
Falcon, shuricannon, shuricannon, holo-fields, spirit stones, Vectored engines

1842

The quins obviously go in the Falcon.

One thing I'm worried about is the 3 non-Falcon skimmers. I'm worried that with more AT about the Serpent will die easier and the 2 prisms may take no real part in the game as there will be less places to hide after they are shaken, so could suffer being permanently shaken. Any advice on what the 1850 metagame generally is and how to build for it are also welcome.
To pre-empt, I've played pods quite a bit at 1500, so know how to deal with them well enough, are they much different (apart from being more of them) at 1850?

If you are going to use a serpent than I think you ought to bump up the numbers on the FD. I would suggest dropping the 6 man spiders and use the points for more dragons.

Also, an dths is just a general commnet/musing... I am really wonderinga bout tehutility of ONLY 2 prisms. You have to expect that only one wil b efiring per turn. Wouldn't 3 then make more sense? That or scrap them and go all falcon?

Just some thoughts....

The list looks pretty strong. I would suggest adding vectored engines to the fire prisms and your good to go. if you drop 2 spiders to do that, then you may have the xtra pts to upgrade the shurican cannon on the falcon to a scatter laser.

I assume that by taking the fast attack choices you are differentiating yourself from everyone's else eldar army that would look identical otherwise :p

The Autarch looks good, mine has a reaper launcher instead of a fusion gun.
Well, two Spider squads is too much. I take a squad 10, Exarch has withdraw, and they really shine vs. horde armies, but they struggle vs fast MEQs.
Now you have 4 skimmers on the board. My experience tells me that 3 skimmers is the maximum you can hide in first turn. My list has at least 2 Falcons. With a 2nd Falcon you could give the Dragons a ride. But then you army will play differently, and one Prism might not be very effective vs MEQs.
