I've just skimmed a bit through my friend's copy of the Index Astartes and failed to find an answer to this.

Given the extreme unlikelyhood of actually slaying a Space Marine in actual fluff, having access to his body, and having the knowledge necessary to perform such a procedure or the knowledge of what actually makes a marine tick, would it be possible to salvage the enhanced organs from a dead/dying space marine?

I humbly contend that it would be epically badass for the leader of a traitor faction to have a salvaged omophagea (brain eater!).

Also, if a Blood Angel, whilst in a blood rage, eats the brain of a chaos marine, or that of a traitor aligned with chaos, could he become tainted by the memories and feelings absorbed?

(I asked with a Blood Angel example because a marine knows in his right mind would know not to eat flesh of the tainted. Blood rage gives a good excuse.)

I thought losing control was half the point of blood rage.

Wow... it's a pretty cool concept that's got a lot of potential for cool fluff based armies!

Eg/
Blood Angels Company whose leader consumed the brains of an Aspiring Chaos Champion, and led all his men into the hands of a Chaos god (probably Khorne, I mean, it fits with Blood Angels like superglue and curious childrens fingers)

Or

A specialist unit of Alpha Legion who ambush Loyalist units, eat their brains, and steal their armour. With the memories of the original owners, they can pretend to be those marines for a long time, and potentially cause incredible amounts of destruction!

WHOA! WICKED!
