GF9 was at Adepticon with some new things to show off, esp. the small packs of terrain bits:

Nice stuff. The tokens look nice - quicker to read than the GW vehicle damage dice.

I love the fear tokens!

They told my LGS manager they'll laser-etch any logo onto the 6" 'triangular' measuring device (like the conswag piece), with a minimum order of only 20, for the same price as the 'plain' version.

One of these trangle devices was a free gift for Adepticon attendees (etched w/Adepticon logo..and year?), and is, by far, the most useful free thing ever.

would it help to confuse it if we ran away some more?

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

Here's a close up of the "Triangle device".  And yes, it was a free handout at Adepticon, with the Adepticon logo in place of the GF9 logo shown here.

I agree, most useful SWAG ever.

GF9's templates & measuring devices have to be some of the most useful bits ever. I seriously can not fathom how I played WHFB or FOW before them, they are that useful. I can only imagine that the 40k TAC Template above is the same way.

It's all just way too expensive!

I grind my teeth at the thought of paying $10 for caster tokens.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

$10 isn't that bad - I think they're quite worth it (unlike PP hordes tokens - eugh!).

That is what I was meaning. The caster tokens, which are made by GF9.

GF9's stuff is high quailty though. I have 8 of theose large flame templates, use the for space hulk.

I splurged and bought the deployment zone markers and TAC templates. Very handy. I only wish I could have gotten a adepticon one though.

Plus all of the licensed stuff for wizkids pirates game (islands, tokens, etc.) just great stuff.

now all I need is caster tokens and infantry tokens for PR WM pirate mercs....cant wait for those. (though its not like the models are even out yet...)

So are the only new things the dice tins that come with tokens? I have seen everything else already besides those.

I wish GF9 would do some WM/Hordes spell effects tokens, eg. Breath of corruption, Annihilation, Wall of stone etc. I'd buy those.

I hate those tokens. I can't read them.

I just use generic red yellow green beads.

GF9 is, to me, the reason why I don't understand PP getting into hobby supplies. With companies like GF9 who are already doing it, why try and add to the mess of stuff out there? I still think they should have just made a deal with GF9 to sell the stuff with PP's logo on it, and get a kickback from GF9 for sales.

I think with the huge amount of sales GF9 recieved over the PP license, that PP decided to make their own craptacular Hordes tokens. That enterprise isnt so great...

But warmachine is still fully licensed to GF9, thankfully.

The Hordes tokens were

1) an experiment to see what was required to design, contract and build their own plastic game pieces
2) a way for players to get all the Hordes tokens they need without going bankrupt.

I love the GF9 tokens I have but I shudder at how much it would have cost to get all the tokens I needed for all my Circle casters plus the animus for all the Warbeasts.

I happened to actually be down at GF9 when the triangle tool was made. One of the prototypes sits in my gaming bag.

And you can thank me for the hole in the middle. I liked how you could twirl the thing in your hand like a six shooter with that hole, so it went into the production version, which almost didn't have it.

True story!
