Schaumburg-Lippe-Buckerburg? Someone seriously proposed "army" that can easily be collected whole by buying a few boxes?

Well, it's not like any army in Wargames: Atlantic line has more than a few boxes avalible.

I think he means the same box, as in WA wants to sell multiples of the same box to as many people as possible.

Else we will end up with a box of Boxy McBoxfaces...

I voted for things I believed would either cater to my interests or otherwise fill an unoccupied niche in plastic models. Makers of dioramas or players of various RPGs might appreciate big boxes of various kinds of civilians, for example.
Same here. While I am unlikely to start an Ancients army, I did vote for Cataphracts. For armies that used them, you need a lot, and they don't exist in plastic. The national differences in equipment were slight, and could be dealt with by having a customizing sprue (these bits for Nikophoran Byzantine, those bits for Sassanid Persian). Similarly, I voted for 13th-15th century Ottoman infantry. While I'd not want more than two sprues (assuming a five torso per), no one makes plastic Ottomans for that time period. By the same token, I did not vote for yet more Napoleonics. Perry and Warlord games have got that covered. Similarly, no more Anglo-Zulu war kits for the same reason.

As for kits I'd buy a box of, I voted for Space Bugs {Bugs, Mr. Rico! Thousands of them!}, Sci-fi civilians, assorted aliens, mainly because I have Stargrave on the brain right now. Also want Les Grognards cavalry, and a generic fantasy rangers kit.

Edit: Forgot about the Death Fields Myrmidons. Might buy space samurai if they were produced, but did not vote for them.

VOTE APEMEN! They don't exist in plastic or metal. Could be a great dual kit with some sci-fi bits, some pulp bits, and fantasy bits. I'm fascinated by prehistory and Apemen would make great antagonists or protagonists for stories and games from everything between Conan's Hyboria and The Lost World of Doyle. Also a few sci fi guns and alien heads and they could be proxy Tau Kroot or whatever.

Here is some quick concept art I put together for them. Open to any suggestions, critiques, etc.

You do make a good point. It would be a useful kit for different genres.

No, I meant the fact that principality of SLB had a few thousand to (at the end) a few dozen thousand subjects and its "army" was in two to three digits. You could literally collect it 1:1 by buying a few boxes and had it whole on parade on small shelf.

Fun fact, this is said principality as seen by period press:

I did vote apemen! They could follow the same model as the lizardmen do. Sharpened sticks, stones and bone clubs for one weapon set, something a little more space ray gun for another. One set of heads should be something more ape-ish and less proto-human. Some kind of weird alien face would be good too. Single-horned cyclops, maybe? You could give them assault rifles and army helmets for monkey paratroopers. Thinking about it like this, I realise that an apeman set could be more versatile than the lizardmen set.

I've got multiples of the Lucid Eye apes, but they are definitely just Chimpanzees with tools, not Apemen. They are very small. I want something that is more "missing link"

Yeah, and I think if you cut the arms right you could add the arms and heads to the death fields convicts for more "planet of the apes" types.

You could have a body with a bandolier and maybe some crossbows and a sasquatch style head for galaxies far far away, any weird alien heads..

I also think that well sculpted fur is one of the easiest things for almost anyone to paint well. Contrast paint is a dream on chunky fur.

I think they could be very versatile, and as I said nothing similar exists in metal OR plastic.

Wow there are some really cool ideas here.

So not going to lie, I am a total mark for Landsknecht. And Ogres. So seeing Ogre Landsknecht on that list just presses so many "yes" buttons for me.

I voted for several items, but that is my current top spot followed by Deathfields Golden Horde and Deathfields Mamluks. I dunno, I saw Deathfields Samurai, but I just feel that is something they are going to do regardless anyways at some point, so why not vote for some of the more out there ones instead?

Now I just need to keep an eye out for when my write in comes up.

I cannot agree more. Glad to see more love for Landsknetch ogres. Just more plastic ogres is what we need. And please not "Uruk hai that skipped leg day" mantic ones but proper ogres. I don't care if they have more of a belly alas GW, are a little more muscular and brutal ala Warcraft, etc... but don't remake the the well!

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

With the correct amount of converting, why not?

There is a gentleman converting them with persian bitz to make a lizardmen colony "based" in the grand canyon per his posts on our facebook group

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

Boxes! Yes please! Nothing on this is list is a must buy, except for boxes. Stowage, base decorations, terrain. Give me my boxes!

Astronauts are a close second though, esp if it's a mix of armed and tool hands.

What would Cyberpunk fantasy characters be? Mohawks and magical metal arms? Or just cyberpunks?

Ah now I realize it's not~Shadowrun

Winged sci-fi birdmen, astronaut soldiers and mixed fantasy militia are pretty good choices. Astronaut-themed soldiers are unusual enough without being too wacky, and a mixed militia would be great for all kinds of things. There's too much racial purity nonsense going on in toy soldiers and having a lot of different people in broadly similar gear would be cool.

Honestly, if I were them I'd design sprues for birdmen, apemen etc in the style of the lizardmen and just make them if the lizards make the money back. Maybe not at once but eventually. It's a great niche.

What I would most want to see, I think, is a mutant box. Just get real wild with it, with a crapload of weird heads and arms.
