A multipart troll would be amazing, one to build differing kinds off especially

Deathfields Samurai vs Sci Fi Samurai
Deathfields Mamluks vs Space Mamluks
Hobgoblin Legionaries vs Hobgoblin Legionaries

Yes nice concepts and I even voted for some of them, but it feels like they could have vetted a tiny bit better.

I like idea of Republican Rome Goblins, but much like how I noted with the Ogres, I am a sucker for monster races in a civilized light. Not saying tribal societies cannot be civilized, but your standard depiction of Goblins is generally at "wallowing in their own filth" levels.

You wish, it's going to be 6 historical units that already have 2 plastic kits each and 2 fantasy units that already have 2 plastic kits each and 2 ultra obscure historical units that only 1 person needs, like platoon X from year Y that was accidentally issued the wrong type of boots and only existed for 2 months as a fighting unit and 2 plastic kits already exist for the base unit with normal boots but somebody won't die happy until they get a WYSIWYG kit with the variant boots.

Tamiya has a great allied stowage kit and modern American kit but they're mainly packs and barrels.

Italiari has a good one with some ammo boxes but they're just a small part of it.

I've not tried Rubicon's stowage kits yet.

So yeah they are out there, but I'm saying a plastic stowage kit would be a natural add on to other orders, it's something I always need. Reaper's various cargo crates always make their way into my shopping bag when I need to top it off.

A box of 6-8 sprues crammed with stowage will cover multiple armies for sure. You don't want to tool a sprue that even people who are inclined to buy it probably won't need more than 1 box in their lifetime. Probably why military stowage kits are 1 sprue of 20 bits for 10$+

I don't know why but Rome is always my favourite "culture" to borrow for evil monster races that are also "civilized".

Maybe thats why I love WoD WoW's ogres.

To be fair (because I am biased, although this isn't my entry) the Warlord Landsknecht kits leave a lot to be desired. I'm fairly certain this is just code for "Landsknecht style fantasy humans".

It is a little strange that they left, for example, both SciFi Samurai and Death Fields Samurai. But I can see how there might be a difference. Death Fields Samurai would be specifically for their death fields range, and designed with the idea that they were samurai kidnapped by time travelling aliens and given high tech weapons to fight for their amusement, or however the background goes for that range. Sci-Fi samurai would probably be a generic far future human faction with some japanese influenced armor. But yeah, functionally I suppose they'd turn out pretty similar. Not sure how one would decide which to vote for if both advanced, and they might just end up splitting votes and losing even though they'd be more popular than some other choice.

Having repeats just means that neither box is gonna get made, since instead of everyone who wants SciFi Samurai voting for Sci-Fi Samurai, half of them are gonna vote for SciFi Samurai and half for Death Fields Samurai, and they'll lose to something else.

Given that this isn't a super-formal poll and they just kinda mashed everything in there, if the samurais get a lot of votes total they might just decide to do one. This isn't going to be legally binding or anything.

I just need Plastic winged hussars, please and thank you. All else is secondary.

I don't even want them for historical purposes, they would just help make my Sludge and Turnip 28 conversions that much easier. Actually, supporting those two games with conversion fodder was about 98% of the criteria I used in evaluating what to vote for - which mostly meant that I voted for any historically themed scifi/fantasy offerings and any pre-WW2/post-Dark Age historical options listed.

I think Atlantic's WW1 Germans are already the ultimate Sludge kit, pickelhaube and gasmasks > napoleonics with knight visors

No thank you. Whole point of Sludge and Turnip is to kitbash anachronistic and asynchronistic looking dudesmen (with or without moss coats) that defy conventional real world military stylings. Pickelhaube and gasmasks is just more of the typical world war 1/wehraboo alt-ww2 crap thats already plastered all over the 28mm miniatures gaming arena. If thats what makes you happy, more power to you, but a lot of people are flocking to those games/aesthetics specifically because its unconventional and makes use of pre-20th century plastic infantry.

If it makes you feel any better I was gonna do Romans with AK-47s before I found the Germans. I think it's all in the paint scheme tho.

Also the moss makes me angry because I don't understand it.

TurnipSludge will last as long as the INQ28 movement that spawned it persists, which is to say probably for a real long time.

So not going to lie, I am a total mark for Landsknecht. And Ogres. So seeing Ogre Landsknecht on that list just presses so many "yes" buttons for me.

I voted for several items, but that is my current top spot followed by Deathfields Golden Horde and Deathfields Mamluks. I dunno, I saw Deathfields Samurai, but I just feel that is something they are going to do regardless anyways at some point, so why not vote for some of the more out there ones instead?

Now I just need to keep an eye out for when my write in comes up.

I cannot agree more. Glad to see more love for Landsknetch ogres. Just more plastic ogres is what we need. And please not "Uruk hai that skipped leg day" mantic ones but proper ogres. I don't care if they have more of a belly alas GW, are a little more muscular and brutal ala Warcraft, etc... but don't remake the the well!

Most of their fantasy kits have a different style to what was available before. I just love their Greek style skeletons for example.

What are moss coats?

Regarding the WGA poll, I assume they will exercise veto rights in case the winning kits are too over the top, such as "Hollywood Hookers with Sex Toys", would get them in trouble with GW Legal (Totally Not Primaris Adeptus Astartes), or are too obscure, like the Schaumburg-Lippe kit.* While WGA does want to get an idea what will sell, they also want to remain in business.

*According to the wikipedia article on that postage stamp country, it maintained an army of 1,000 men, which was quite large for the country's size. For comparison's sake, a typical Napoleonic infantry regiment was about that big. At the Battle of Leipzig in 1813, 500,000 soldiers were involved, and casualties totaled about 125,000 (for both sides). The Schaumburg-Lippe "army" would have been swallowed up in the Leipzig casualty lists, and no one would notice!
