Assembled my Kill Team: Nachmund terrain and had a ton of fun doing it. The crane was a bit of a doozy (lol only Warhammer 40,000 would have a skull on a crane, never change 40k, never change) And primed most of it. Did some fixing to my Corsairs and began basing them, but the basing paint and the base coat was taking too long to dry so I stopped. Will prime the rest of the little terrain parts tomorrow and maybe assemble my Kill Team: Octarius terrain as well.

I might make the 2nd bespoke team the Ork Kommandos. I'm planning to make them a part of the Bloody Skullz an Ork group I introduced in my ongoing Rogue Trader (they're from the scenario inside the RT core rule book) But I decided to expand on them a lot. The scenario claimed these Orks were different due to living near an alien artefact, but they seemed to make them pretty much the same, so I made Warboss Dakkdreff who's an atheist materialist who wants to be 'da biggest baddest ork dis side 'o' the sectah!' He's essentially a parody of myself and he's so fun to RP even if his voice destroys my throat. The PCs like him a lot because he promised to ally with them after Inquisitor Azakir Halgriv defeated him lol.

The buildings are also of the Orks under Dakkdreff and the graffiti is going to be things like: 'Logik and reason above all!' and 'Der ain't gods or kings only da WAAGGHH!' lol

A bit more work on my Corsair's bases, decided to go over the Astrogranite on them with Astrogranite debris due to them not looking good, it's much better now. Also, assembled most of my Munitorum armoured crates I bought earlier this year, hoping to add them to my Nachmund terrain. Would've done more but had to help my dad fix a leak in the roof which took up most of the day. Hoping to assemble my Kill Team Octarius terrain tomorrow. My writing has fallen by the wayside but been doing a weekly writing sprint with a friend that's helping me do some bit by bit. It would be cool to get people into the hobby in my town!

Mostly finished my Corsairs, based them and fixed some parts I'd frigged up. I'm pretty happy with them, might post pics tomorrow. But here's my Felarch now.

Spoiler:

Damn, just realised his base looks like a chocolate cake lol

Finished assembling my Ork Kommando team (I really think the little Solid Snake Shadow Moses Island scuba gear Gretchen is too awesome) and decided to for the first time, properly use my Contrast Paints as I only have to Saturday to finish them when my friend comes over and I hope to have a game of Kill Team 2: Electric Boogaloo. I primed one with my grey spray and tested him out, and it looked pretty good, quite a bit faster than the layering method I'm used to. I'm gonna keep them simple. Then primed the rest of them grey too, except for the shadow Moses Island scuba gear Gretchen I primed him black with the brush on primer I bought a few weeks back.

Wish my luck in getting my friend into the hobby! lol

Glueing small pieces of styrene dowl to my sub-standard up ebay macharius to restore some rivets and building up the level of detail up to what it should be. And of course adding some upgrades like a spotlight, smoke dischargers (panzer mk3 or tiger style) and a name plate for the back of the turret.

Managed to get total of seven Ork Boyz "table ready" five of which I started today including the Squig.

I'm a bit torn on contrast paints they look good and all but painting in white/light gray makes any bits I miss stick out like sore thumbs. I had that same problem with my cultists from The Assassinorum: Execution Force cultists. Due to priming them light gray as I wanted to use then as proxies for Jaroaite/Jaroaian extremists for the tt skirmish game I was making for my Angaran Chronicles series as the colors of that religion are white and gold. But changed my mind because I also wanted to use then for Execution force so painted then dark gray and with beige cloaks. It took along time to get rid of white spots etc by the end I couldn't even be bothered painting high lights lol they are just cannon fodder after all and they look okay.

Also decided on the fluff of my Orks while painting them today. They aren't The Bloody Skulls but the Gold Toofs because due to some reason their teeth grow gold and so other Orks are trying to kill them for their rare teef. So the Gold Toofs pretty much hate other Orks and above all else love 'crumpin'' 'em. Going so far as sometimes being hired as mercy by other races to fight other Orks. They also value gold above all other colors and der nobs always are blinginger that the rank and file Boyz. But the warboss is always da blingiest lol

Finally just about finished painting the Reptisaurians for Massive Darkness. They were looking terrible for about 90% of the process, but thankfully the top layer of skin turned them around and I'm actually quite pleased with how they've come out, considering the quantity of them and the level of squishiness in some of the details in the boardgame plastic. I'll be happy to move onto a different project though, batch painting 23 models is not my idea of a good time.

I've been messing around with an old squad of space marines I had lying around, trying to find a nice colour/scheme to do the HH miniatures when they arrive. I had planned to do Emperors Children, but I just couldn't get a purple I liked to spray on easily, the only way to get it "acceptable" to me involved far more effort than I'd want to do for every single mini. So instead, they'll be blood angels as I found an incredibly easy way of doing them and getting very satisfactory results, including on vehicles after giving it a go on a random Eldar Falcon I have had laying around in a box for about 25 years ago

I managed to get all the Orks of my Gold Toofs Kommando team table ready. Just have the Solid Snake Gretchen and base them to go. That's two out of four of my bespoke Kill Teams finished now have Chaos Marines and the Veteran Guard to go. Chaos Marines next, as I think for my Vet Guard, I might have to do some heavy conversions. Dunno if I'll be able to play with my friend tomorrow as I don't know the rules well enough. I didn't have time to read over the book at all.

I still have a huge pile of shame to get through, though. Blackstone Fortress, my many Eldar units (it'd be cool to finally have a proper 2,000-point army for the first time, ever) And my High Elf Dragon would be awesome to finally paint. Getting through it all bit by bit.

Still stripping paint off my friends old Dark Elves, have an idea of a basic list and am in the process of putting everything together, basing and magnetizing the models I'll need.

However I got distracted and started painting another mini that's been sitting on my desk primed.

Gotta get something written up for our next D&D session.
I got lucky this past week & the chaotic nature of the group (players) derailed the session enough that I could skrimp by just making gak up/RPing some NPCs.
But that won't fly this week.
