Hey there Dakkites. Been a while since I last posted here but I've been busy as hell over the course of april trying to finish up my army for the Fork of Mork Tournament I attended in may. I'm starting to post pictures of the finished models (now I'm finally home) as I snap them.

Some of you may have already seen this model as I entered it on the shades of red 2 competition run by our fellow Insaniak (great models all over) and some may not so I'm posting it here to hear you comments on it (and criticism as well), so without further ado I give you Brother Captain Valius of the 3rd Company Ultramarines:

FOr more pictures check the latest upload on him on my blog: http://paintingfrog.spaces.live.com/.

All I can think is just some ultramarine captains screaming at the top of his lungs 'SUCK MY edited'

I am not talking about roosters either.

Nice paint job mate. Looks pretty good all round

_Great_ use of the Carnifex head with exposed skull. Might I nick that idea?

Also, the slime/acid blood on the sword and base are nice. I can see that the battle damage on the SM is supposed to be acid splash damage, but putting just a bit of the same slime on him (around the holes) might point this out a bit better and solve the issues that beef pointed out.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I agree that it is a very nice paint and conversion job.  I think the Brother Captain got lucky with the acid splatter- none got on his codpiece.  That might have been painful and required a VERY different pose....

Excellent work.

I especially love the acid burns.
The use of white to define the base of the holes is something I've been wanting to do for awhile but have lacked the models to put it on (being primarily WHFB these days).

Agree with the sentment above that maybee some acid around the burn marks would help tie it together.

Great conversion and great painting. Hope to see more work of this standard.
