Big fan of that Wonder Woman, though yeah, the base is a bit much (Aquaman's was oversized enough ).

Steel is just awesome, not such a fan of that version of Superboy (would have preferred something closer to the Young Justice look) but it's nice to have the full Reign of the Supermen cast out.

I too would have prefered the Young Justice look for SB, heck even Titans S2 has adopted it for the first couple episodes he's in. Though I just want to have The Team and The Outsiders for the games. Vandal Savage would be nice too, cause we have enough of the villains that with him we could have The Light.

They'll get to a more modern Superboy, but they were specifically doing the Reign of the Supermen crew for the relaunch of DCU. Mongul and Supermullet rounds out the 4 nicely.

To be fair, before we get to an alternate sculpt Superboy, it'd be nice if they got around to rereleasing Supergirl in some form or other.

Good shout on Vandal Savage, him and Braniac are the villains we need.

You’ll get Howard the duck and like it . Yeah, wrong universe, but you get the point.

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

3rd Edition was formally announced yesterday on Knight's facebook page with promises of more info to come soon. In the comments they made mention that the 2e Cards work with 3e. Having a 3e Card from Red Hood Joker, that makes some sense, provided they give the explanation on Special Conversion in the book.

Glad I didn’t buy into 2nd Ed a couple months ago. Got burned once already when they said all the 1st ed models would work for 2nd but then they shoved them all into the legacy format that no one plays anymore. Don’t trust them to not do it again and make people rerebuy all new 3rd ed models.

We use Legacy all the time, except in our monthly tourneys. But yeah I share your concern, particularly if the rumor about needing Batboxes to get the new Objective Cards for factions is a thing.

Really not happy to hear they're just blindly converting the 2E stat cards to 3E rather than redoing them. That's exactly what made the need for the legacy format in the first place.

A little bit more on Batman 3e today, they posted a video on FB claiming that the game will be faster (which I already found it fairly quick to play), more lethal and easier to learn (which is nice). And available for Christmas.

Also a new Batman, maybe in the box, maybe 3e launch Special Ed model.

Todd McFarlane Batman. Which I want two of, one to be Batman and another to try and turn into Spawn.

I don’t care for that model myself. It could be a cool Spawn though now that you mention it.

Cool sculpt, not my style, but a cool sculpt.

With the Red Hood card we got from the 10th Anniversary sale, we've seen a few things leaked. Looks like they're massively overhauling the activation system and simplifying things. I think it'll be good overall, but very very different.

Another Batman? Jeez, how many is that now? Well, can't really complain, because most of them are great sculpts.

As far as this one goes, the flow of the cape is interesting, but I agree that it would be much better suited as Spawn. VictorVonTzeentchMade, if you ever do convert one to a Spawn be sure to post a link on this thread!

It's based on a Todd McFarlane cover. The reason its a little weird is in the cover he's got a woman wrapped in the cape.

McFarlane even did an homage (or copied himself depending on your PoV) with a Spawn cover. Also not the first time that design for Bats has come with out a woman in his arms. Looks odd the other times it comes up too.

New cops do look great, even if I'm not a fan of the game changes by and large.

And the ridiculous bases reach new heights, Gordon now carrying round a Tactical Batsignal! Probably the basis of a really cool diorama, and will no doubt paint up wonderfully, but as a gaming piece it's a bit nuts (unless, of course, this model is actually an objective)

Im really liking the Cops, and am glad we get a Bullock.

I hope Gordon is the Objective, cause damn that tactical bat signal. If not, I will just use the current Gordon and do a display with that one.

They could be using the vehicle upgrade rules. I could see it essentially acting as an upgrade that modifies his movement to zero but gives him some special rules until he's attacked or chooses to discard it.

If you look close it appears that Gordon has a small base that inserts into the bat signals base.

There's another picture that shows this is clearly not the case.

Not the first time Knight has allowed a model to leave the base without really designing the model to do so. Both Penguin and the new Oxymandias/Bubastis model have this problem.

I suppose it could be similar to how they've done some of the Potter stuff. Dumbldore for instance you can build either with the big diorama base or he has a tab for the standard 30mm one. Not really much chance of swapping though, it'll be one or the other rather than both.

Resin is pretty easy to swap around. Doesn't even really need a magnet. You can usually do it with a simple pin.

https://www.beastsofwar.com/news/beat-up-goons-knight-models-batman/

Brief explainer of the new combat... Attack dice equal to stat vs block dice equal to stat, both sides can also take extra Stun damage to add/remove Attack dice. No more rolling to Damage, it's automatic, with Strength now being an extra attack that's unblockable if it beats your Strength stat.

Interesting.

I guess the no more rolling to damage comes from the DCU game? Where a successful hit just does damage.

I think its mostly just to offset the "always get block dice". The game already had issues with the two rolls being fairly likely to result in no successes (Bat-whiff). If they kept all 3 rolls in, a 5 attack model going after a DEF 3 guy would get something like 1.5 successes on average, which is pretty miserable and rapidly turns into 0 successes when dealing with models with a lower attack stat.

True, the past couple editions did have alot of your big scary dude ending up doing nothing in certain situations.
