Hey, I am taking this to an Anti-Games Day event in Baltimore this weekend. My first list this size. Any input would be appreciated.

Penitent Engine  x3

Sister Repentia  x11
Priest Close Combat Weapon
Mistress

Sister of Battle Bolter x9
Sister of Battle Bolter/Imagifer
Sister Superior Veteran Superior/Close Combat/Plasma Pistol

Sister of Battle Bolter x7
Sister Superior V S/Close Combat/Plasma Pistol
Sister of Battle Melta x2

I have 38 points left to play with. I was thinking of putting a jump pack on the Canoness, or possibly a Blessed weapon (it is a pretty casual event I am told, so modeling those on short notice isn't too much of a problem.) I am also out of figs other than some more meltas, storm bolters and flamers.

Jump pack on the cannoness is a good idea.

In the long run, I'd lose the repntias and add more sisters.

A) repentias are bad.
B) penitent engines are iffy

Once your exorcists die (and they will) you have little anti-tank.

Your seraphim superiors are better served with evicerators rather than power weapons, as at S3, she's hard perssed to land wounds. Likewise on the canoness, either a blessed weapon or evicerator goes a lot further than a power weapon.

You're footslogging sisters. You would do better with two larger mobs, rather than three small (ten-girl) ones.

Small squads give more total faith to play with.

Flamers on foot sloggers are rarely going to do well.

10 points for a stormbolter is iffy. 11 points will buy you another girl.

Seraphin squads are to small to get Divine Guidance off reliably.

Spirit of the Martyr + cloak are better than Rosarius

I'd put a Blessed weapon or an eviscerator on the Cannoness before I'd go with a Power Weapon. I'd also dump the rosarius and go with the artivicer armor upgrade. (Cloak of St. Aspria? I don't have the book in front of me).

Put the eviscerators on any vet sister you reasonably expect to see close combat.

I'd dump the repenta and go with more foot slogging sisters that tote at least 1 melta gun or a tank hunting dominion squad, or even inferno pistols on the seraphim. You look way low on faith for 2000 points though. Retributors with heavy bolters might not be a bad option either, which you could then retool another squad or two for more of an anti-tank role.

Well, the army was fielded yesterday, and to excellent effect, winning the 2000 point game against a guard based Lost and Damned army. With city terrain, the seraphim with flamers tore through the infantry, and the penitents did their job well, torching an infiltrating icon unit, and drawing fire right up to contact with the tanks and a lascannon unit, allowing the repentia to tear them to pieces.

The Eviscerators on the Seraph might not be a bad idea at all. I think I will stick with the blessed weapon on the cannoness though, since swinging last with no unit to take wounds for her is a little rough. The evisorators also replace the melta bombs on the Superior, making it a good plan I think.

The Rosarius has to stay though, much more than any +1 armor save. Blowing a faith point for an errant lascannon blast, or small amount of potentially ugly attacks in melee doesn't make sense , when I can give a unit of sisters AP 1 on 6's rolled to wound, or give them all 3+ inv. saves.

Small sister squads also allow more special weapons on the field, as well as allowing tactical flexibility. Small seraphim squads limit their melee potential, but allow for more flamers with a decent chance of Divine Guidance, given that they come standard with a Simulacrum Imperialis so long as the Vet lives. <=6 on 3d6 drop highest is not terrible. Additionally, 4 flamers vs. 2 means the possibility of twice as many hits on one unit, even without guidance.

For faith, I was rolling with 9 points, which turned out to be plenty.

I am thinking of pulling Celestine and putting in a Dominion squad for some more tank hunting, only losing 2 faith.

The eviscerator is a nice choice for the cannoness, when you combine it with the Cloak and judicious use of faith points to give yourself a 2+ invulnerable save for around of close combat. The same goes for the vet sisters or Vet seraphim sisters that may see close combat.

The Cloak of St Aspira is better than a Rosarius for your Cannoness. Here's why:
If you're getting Lascannoned, then you're running your Cannoness incorrectly. She's an IC, and you can protect her from enemy shooting just by keeping another unit closer to the enemy than she is. If she's stuck in the open in the midst of enemy lines, then you're going to want to "blow" the Faith to get her an Inv save to protect her from Plasma (still suffers insta death) and others.
A 2+ save is protection vs scattering Battle Cannon rounds, and any other AP3 stuff.
You will take three times the number of wounds in combat with a 4+ Rosarius save as compared to a 2+ Faith save. A Rosarius looks like a deal when compared to a 3+ save, but when the ability to take a 2+ is taken into consideration, it just flat-out pales.

It's good that you were in a city-fight... because you'll have a hard time keeping Penitent Engines and Sisters Repentia alive else wise.
