Kan is right, Bostria did say it was one taskmaster with an arm option. 2 bodies would explain the price more, but you’d have 2 of the same body, and there’s not enough tinbots and Koalas to actually run both together.

1 Taskmaster ($23.99)
+1 extra pair of arms
+2 Crazy Koalas (which could just as easily be markers)
+1 Megacephalic tinbot (which could just as easily be a marker)
--------
= $42.99
So all those add-ons cost $19.00. Bokay. :| I can see the megacephalic tinbot costing the same as a standard S2 mini, since it probably has the same number of parts.
(prices from GameNerdz, the full MSRP)

It’s not even an extra pair of arms. The left arm is the same.

It's important to remember that the Tinbots were upsized to match the Kaauri Sentinels(which are supposed to be S1).

Me too. That is a price tag for a TAG, not a S5 Infantry unit.

Kaauri are playable, and shootable, units though. The tinbot is a mere 3-D marker. The thing should be the size of the Chibi Pig that comes with the Yu Jing HVT, and should fit onto the base of its unit, like the chibi pig does, instead of being a separate, full sized mini.

I know they tend to price stuff for how much metal is in the box, but that's a bit absurd for a single HI. I think most people would have been happy to pay a touch more to have the second body in there. $43au for a single HI and some little bots is a tough one to swallow. Bump it to $50au and put a second body in there, roughly starter set price, and I'm sure there would be less of a problem.

I have an inkling that Tinbots were initially intended to be playable, shootable units like Tinbots are.
I can understand to a point why they did Tinbots as a separate 3D marker instead of being attached to the base of a model. Because they have Tinbot and Tinbot-less profiles available to some units.
I will never be able to understand why they think a Tinbot equates to an actual model in a boxed set though. I get that it's going to cost us something because of materials, but the same price as a HI model is bonkers.

Yes, exactly.
I'm with Loki on this one though - one more body (and a few more dollars?) would have made this a bit more palatable, or just two to begin with, and sell the other stuff separately...

That Crusader Brethren looks like a cut-n-paste of the tiger soldier. Just different arms.
The Pneumarch and the Blackjack win. I may get that Pneumarch, to have a 4th HVT.
Andromeda really should have a red hood and cloak. And a more interesting sculpt. And a more useful profile.
And a reminder for next month, November Releases, we'll have:
-Avatar
-USAriadna Spec Ops Grunt version
-Joe Scarface (from the ITS pack)
-Jeanne D'Arc w/Umbra groper
-Hassassin Muyibs box
-Re-pack of Hac Tao
-Re-pack of Moran Masai hunter
I don't think this new Avatar will look better than the old one. But this is judging from the orange render.

Yeah, Andromeda's stats don't seem to be anything special. She's got that Guard ability, which I'm assuming the dog bot is for, but that doesn't really seem to offset her more or less average stats very much. What's the point of taking her? Now, if she functioned a bit like the Kerail or the Antipode Controller, actually using the dog bot as a statted unit, that would make more sense.

She's the only Specialist Operative which is then combined with Forward Deployment and CH: Mimetism for Steel Phalanx, plus she can pack a wallop in CC if she has to.

Ah, I'm not so up on Steel Phalanx. There's nobody else Steel Phalanx with those abilities? The CC stat though, it's above average, sure, but I do know she is outclassed by other Aleph characters, even others in the same sectorial. Still, how often foes Aleph actually get into hand-to-hand anyway? They ought to have just given her a pair of synched dog-bots to command.

She is the only Specialist Operative in Steel Phalanx. Remember that " Guard" is a skill she has(repped by her robodog). Guard automatically grants her V: Courage(kind of a wash as she has NWI but hey) and in her Active or Reactive turn, she gets +2 Damage Bonus in CC and her opponent has a -3 modifier. Throw in her Kinematika, Stealth, DA CCW, Breaker Pistol, Knife etc etc...and she can mix it up pretty nicely if she so chooses. At the very least she can be a big deterrent to prevent someone from thinking about going after her. Also worth mentioning that she has her Breaker Pistol out, so this is one of those rare instances where they're selling you the perfect universal proxy model for a model with multiple profiles.

The Tinbot can be gotten with Riot Grrls and Koalas are old.
It's sitting at $39 USD for the MSRP...which is extortionately high.
Are you sure it's only one Taskmaster? Why would they show a picture of two of them then? If it's two, the price makes much more sense.
It's a 4 model box.
It's one Taskmaster(with two sets of arms), the Tinbot, and two Crazy Koalas for $39.
Actually I think it is two identical Taskmaster bodies with two different weapon arms, two Crazy Koalas and a Tinbot.
Then it would be a 5 model box.
They count Crazy Koalas and Tinbots as models for the purposes of their boxed sets; it's the whole reason why there's been so much complaining about Tinbots taking the place of a fourth trooper figure in boxes.
Anyways, the contents I wrote are literally what was said at GenCon by Bostria. It's two different weapon arms.
What?! Ugh, well, count me out then, that is beyond awful.

She is the only Specialist Operative in Steel Phalanx.
As a specialist in Steel Phalanx, Thrasymedes also exists and is miles better. He has infiltration on one of his profiles (the one you take if you want him pushing buttons early, otherwise he's in a link) as opposed to forward deployment, but he has ODD and is way easier to hide anyway. He's the same wip, 1 better armour and the same BS for losing out a few CC skills, but good CC in Phalanx isn't exactly hard to come by (which is my next point)
Remember that " Guard" is a skill she has(repped by her robodog).
Guard automatically grants her V: Courage(kind of a wash as she has NWI but hey) and in her Active or Reactive turn, she gets +2 Damage Bonus in CC and her opponent has a -3 modifier.

At the very least she can be a big deterrent to prevent someone from thinking about going after her.
Looking at characters in Phalanx that are worth taking over Andromeda as a CC attacker, we have:
Penthesilea
Ajax
Achilles
Hector
Patroclus
Who all deal better damage, hit easier and have some level of stats that make them harder to put damage on, be it from simple high Arm, ODD, Mimetism or Martial Arts. I'll concede the point that every example there is more expensive, but then we also have Myrmidons. ODD, MA3, Kinematika 1 and linkable. Arm, BS and Wip are the same, but Myrmidons have 1 higher CC and a higher Ph, and to top it off are almost always cheaper (1 boarding shotgun Andromeda is 2 chain rifle Myrmidons). The Myrms give the army access to smoke as well which is huge because it allows you to actually get closer.
Also worth mentioning that she has her Breaker Pistol out, so this is one of those rare instances where they're selling you the perfect universal proxy model for a model with multiple profiles.
I'll concede this is nice, as is her sculpt in general, but it doesn't help much when the profiles themselves are bad. I am tempted to buy her just to paint up and sit on my desk, but I'm not that tempted
