Alright, here are two megapowergamer armies I thought up and was wondering what you thought of them. Which is more powerful, which is more cheesy and which (if either) would you actually like/allow to have in a tournament.

Funny thing is, both these lists are OBLITERATED by the new codex when it hits. All those min CSM squads lose their heavy weapons - or become 3x (or 1x) 10-man squads with las/plas; the raptors lose 3x flamers (if not 2x as well); you can still take 8 oblits, but they're heavies now, so compete with the defilers, of which you can only take 3 and which lose their indirect fire. The possessed get way random (though I think still marked), and the HQs get boosted far beyond what you have here, as powered weapons and aura saves are mandatory.

So there.

On the lists themselves, yep, pretty irritating but not unbeatable. The first list would be harder than the second, with all those las/plas to deal with in addition to eradicating the possessed, but the limited combat capacity could hurt. The second one is indeed some IW cheese, but you can't hide all those defilers and they still die to one shot. Same goes for oblits, with instant death.

- Salvage

Bloodletters are cheaper than possessed and will get people to cry cheese first. Also, Str 5 power weapons are arguably better than rending. Plus the added bonus of super easy in your face possibly never to be shot at deployment.

Basilisks are also cheaper and people cry cheese when they see the extension of your phalus on the table.

6 man squads are arguably cheesier because of the mathhammer and how moral works.

Its more cookie cutter than cheesey. I think Horde armies would laugh at the first list. Depending on how you tweaked the second, I could see armies chewing through it too.
