Looks great! I've been wanting to do some jungle terrain myself lately.

I produced a series of short videos reviewing the scatter terrain that I've accumulated over the months I've been interested in Bushido. They should all be in the "product review" play list. The following link gets you to the first video in the play list, hopefully the rest appear behind it.
Anvildude: "Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to see an Ork vehicle that doesn't look like a rainbow threw up on it."
The videos were very well done Gitz, not to long, looked and sounded professional. Maybe you will get some companies to send you their product to review. I really enjoyed your guest host too.

Subject: Gitsplitta's Unified Painting Theory (7/9: video reviews of Japanese scatter terrain)
Thanks Yorkright, really appreciate the support. I'm honestly not fishing for free-bees... but I wouldn't turn them down. The battle reports, especially the full length ones are such a nightmare to edit and produce... sometimes you need something simple to prevent your brain from getting cooked. Besides... I have a stupid amount of scatter terrain and will be ordering more once I get caught up on painting what I have. Why not share with everyone?

Hey gang, sorry I've been so quiet. Really busy (it's that time of year).
New battle report is up for Bushido. Short form, Clan Ito vs. Cult of Yurei (that's right... my Tengu are on vacation this week!). Fiddling around with some new text panels. Have 3 battle reports shot and 1 is edited and ready for upload. Will have some new things for the channel soon I hope. That's the plan anyway. Still all Bushido for the nonce.

Nice video , terrain looks great, your son did an awesome job with the cork islands.
Only critique I have is background noise, but that’s to be expected at a gaming store. Well done.

The jungle terrain looks great, but I would worry about the cork warping once you texture and paint it. It might want a more solid base under it, or at the very least a coat of paint or PVA glue on the underside.

Well, it's already been textured and washed... so far so good. I'm going to experiment with the proper ground color over the next couple of days. I would agree with you though... I'd be a lot happier with something solid underneath it.

Beautiful work all around on Buzenbo. I really like all the details you’ve done on the feathers. Also what green did you use on the armor plates, it’s so nice.

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty happy with this model all things considered. Far from my best work (see some of the EC dreads, etc), but nice looking all the same. As to some of the specific questions.
@graven: If I zoom in really close, the iris is more like a house lying on it's side with the peak of the roof pointing towards the back, which is probably where you're getting the wide-eye from. In truth, a hunting bird's iris would probably fill a lot more of the white than I have here. But I do get what you're saying... just a clumsy brush stroke on my part.
@Anvildude: I wanted to put a bowstring on him, but on the bottom half his body gets in the way. Sculpt wasn't intended to allow for a string I guess. Too bad, I think it would look fantastic with one!
@Theo: It's actually not green. The plates were all done with a simple steel washed with black, then gently washed with GW's yellow wash... whatever it's called. I wanted him to stand out from the rest (all done in normal steel) as he is one of the only true "beatsticks" that exist in the faction. The other is fully armored and carries a katana. The paint job on the feathers is actually very simple... the sculpt is just so good that simple paint works beautifully.
There should be another video battle report up soon. I'll probably start the upload before bed tonight.
Thing 1 has been a painting fiend. Really good work too. He's really come into his own as a painter. I'll post some pics later on.
