I'm sure I saw a freebie on the front of the latest WD the other day, but surely I must be seeing things as GW stated that this wouldn't happen again, due to cost and being a pain  You just can't trust anybody nowadays!

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Yup. It seems about all you can trust GW with these days is keeping their prices just out of reach...

No one since it hasn't actually been released yet?

Lots of clubs do run campaigns though, and the general reaction has been positive.

A $10/player buy-in easily covers the cost in a 6-player campaign. Nice to actually get to see a tile in the flesh too.

Well you know how it is, White Dwarfs subscriptions must be so far in the can they are actually trying anything to get people picking it up again, along with the codex rules being put in the last few issues to try to get people buying it again.

The tiles are awesome. I bummed a few from guys who weren't gonna use theirs. You can drill holes on the edges to stick additional flags in. I'm doing this for my Bret force since I won't let anyone dare touch my flagbearers. I might also use another tile with the wizard's tower to represent my wizards' current spell. If any of you guys can think of other practical uses for these things outside of campaigns, I'd be glad to hear 'em.

Oh yeah, the other fun optical illusion is that it costs more to buy the tiles itself than to buy it from WD.  (Yes I know why.)
