Thanks for all the feedback guys. I managed to pick up a new compressor this weekend so I'll be back to airbrushing soon. In the mean time, I assembled and primed 10 death co w/ jump packs and 10 assault marines on foot.

Also assembled so more dreads

Finally finished off my assault squad I've had sitting around forever. Not getting much hobby time these days due to the holidays and family/friend commitments.

Beautiful work dude, but it's your deltolf I want to comment on.

Three points:

1- seal the gap
2- extra shelves
3- lighting

Normally, I wouldn't comment on this kind of thing but I really like your minis. I can advise you on those three points further if you want.

What do you mean by #1?

I mean seal the gap between the door and the frame when its closed. This way the inside of the case stays free of dust. Otherwise, you'll need to dust your models frequently. Worth the little extra effort.

Thanks! Not sure how you would seal the gap though I don't have an issue with dust. How do you put in extra shelves? I've got lights installed in there already, ikea LACK lights which work quite well.

Yup, it's freehand.

Well after a break from painting due to the holidays, I'm back at it. Finally finished off my death company 10 man squad. These guys took an insane amount of time due to all the little bits and bobs they have hanging off them. Also, pretty happy with the way the blue glow on the jet pack vents turned out...

and I have to say, those plasma weapons have the best glow effect I have ever seen.

Nice one! The jump-pack glow never ceases to amaze me! I will have to try it out on my own DC. Your black highlights are a little confusing, some parts of the model (like the powerfist) have very bright highlights when other parts (helmets & backpack) have no highlights at all, is there a particular reason for this? Also, from the pics, the eye lenses look a little flat compared to things lie the gems. I really like the gold colour that you have got going on there, it looks almost tarnished.

Thanks and you're right, the edge highlighting isn't consistent. This is the first time I"ve done edge highlighting on my troops as I'm not a huge fan of the technique. I built the body and painted those first, then painted the jet packs and finally the head before assembling the three. I started edge highlighting with the body which ended up a bit thicker. Once I got to the actual helmets, I had a better handle on it so the lines for the edge highlighting are thinner and more precise. You're also right on the eye lens, I had just put down a flat white and airbrushed the red to get a small glow over top. I should probably go back and highlight the inner edges with orange or something at a later point. Thanks for the feedback!

Yup, first a general spray with enchanted blue, followed by ice blue and then white on the hottest areas.

Great looking unit again Eggroll!

The sergeant's face looks really nice and the jump packs are really effective in bringing another color to the figs.

The scroll on the front of the Rhino looks a bit wrong though, it looks unfinished in the tank's base colors. It would look better painted in the same colors as the scrolls on the marines. The squad overall is stunning though, really nice addition to your Angel collection. What is coming next?

Thanks Metsuri! I plan on going back and redoing the scrolls on the front of all my tanks someday. I'm working on a doing the 10 man assault squad which is shown primed in the same pic I had above that showed the primed death company. I also just finished assembling a 5 man sanguinary guard unit which I'll prime and paint once the assault squad is done.
