You guys might wanna check with Heavy Support before you cart your gear down there, according to their site this weekend is their WHFB 'Ard Boys prelims.

So Styrofoam04 and I ended up playing 1750 pts at Heavy Support.

Good store, lots of tables and good terrain. Overall it was clean and well lit and the guy on staff was friendly.

We had a great time and I'd would definitely play there again.

Only real issue is that at Queensway and Islington it's a bit out of the way for some, but let's be honest, we all live across the city from one another, so every place is far for someone.

blood angel player just moved here, play range 1200-2500. Available if given heads up, friendly, semi-competitive and willing to do tourneys.

Welcome Hazal. We try to meet at least once or twice a month. But we also have alot of pick-up games. Feel free to set one up if you like.

More Dakka and I had a really great pick up game on Sat. He cleaned my clock. His Kan wall killed every last Corsair. I didn't stand a chance. I think I only had one kill point, I got it with my last squad. I had no where to go or run. So I rushed them up and popped a can with my meltas. then on his turn he wiped them out with out a scratch. Great game tho. I need to learn to counter his strategy.

As for Heavy Support. I loved it!. It was CLEAN, spacious and no kids. We had an uninterrupted game. A few onlookers, who complemented on our armies (well mostly Dakka's but can you blame 'em). The place has washroom and sell snacks. So you never have to leave, lol. They have alot of tables and quite a bit of terrain. The only problem I have is it takes me 30min to get there by car.

Hello, live in brampton but most of toronto isn't out of reach for me. Play range is about 1250-2000/2500(at max) of Blood Angels, really only free on weekends unless given alot of prep time. More of a laid back player, not really interested in the waac army lists, but willing to do tournies for a good time . If this matches your groups play styles then I would be interested in getting some games in.

Welcome Rythem, That about sums us up. Our meets are about having fun a talking WH40k with mature players.

Our last game lasted a good 4 hours mostly because we were talking and swapping war stories. As for waac I dont think I ever won a game with this group, lol. I guess its my job to be the heel. The bad guy who never wins :shrugs:
So far we played a few 1000pts but mostly we play 1750pts. With my new purchase I can prolly go 4000+ points. But we try to work it out before hand.

Now for new business. lol

More dakka and I were talking, We were wondering what everyone thinks about doing a doubles game. I have never done one before. and I know other have tried but mostly stuck with some kid or had a bad experience. But that shouldn't effect us, most of us have an Idea of the other players play style. I think it could be fun.

So would any one like to do a doubles game for next month?
Say 1000pts per player. No crazy rules.

I'm down for a doubles game, as long as my team mate is as evil and crazy as me .

On another note, I find fantasy to be such a spectacular symphony of fun. i know this is a 40k thread, but are there any Fantasy players here? I have 2500 points of pure undeath (Vampire Counts). You too shall serve, not even death can save you.

Ahh i would but i'm already in a tournie in hamilton at black knight games on saturday, plus it being easter means the rest of the weekend is given over to family sorry mate :(

Weekdays are a no-go for me, as I work until 7pm and I work on the Mississauga border, so by the time I get anywhere stores are closed.

On a positive note, my army will be ordered by this week so should be in and fully painted by the end of May. If people don't mind fighting a grey/partially painted legion, I'm up for playtest games most weekends.

I have no problems playing against an unpainted army, even some proxy is alright if your trying something out before buying. I'm probably looking at a free friday night or saturday if anyone is interested in a game this weekend coming up, Heavy Support is closest to me plus parking is nice, though haven't played there yet so can't say what the conditions are.

Weekdays are hard for me do to work as well. weekends I can only do once maybe twice a month.

So any Ideas for next month meetings? Do we want to try doubles? or keep it singles for little while?
