Any chance of throwing up some pictures on one of your blogs? I'd love to see it as it's such a fantastic model!

I'm loving the base! I've always loved getting crazy with big bases when possible (as is obvious with my Chaos Dragon!) so I can't wait to see what I can do with the Archangel.

Sadly, the order hasn't even been made yet (even though I paid in full for it already) so I'm getting little irritated.

However, I'm actually going to be working on my WoC this week though, as I have a 30k point game going on, and am planning to rock a unit of 80 knights with Archaeon! So I need to get some building done.

I have a slight inquiry for you all as to where I might find a certain model... which might not exist.

At the moment, I'm finding myself very wanting to get back into my WoC armies, and even revamp them a bit, starting with their lore.

The first thing in order for changing the lore was introducing a new leader for my massive armies... but I need to find a model to portray this character.

The following picture is the character I would very much like to portray as my leader. Yes, the title is blatantly stolen from Archaon, and that will likely change. However, at this point I'm finding it a necessity that this "Sigvaldian" Tyranicus be the leader of my imperious host.

So the big question is, does anyone have some ideas as to where I could find a model similar to this? It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's scaled armor running down his arms from out of the pauldrons.

So really, I'm more or less looking for a model that has armor running down its arms (preferably scaled, I can find other pictures of this figure if need be) and legs with a big flowing cape, no chest armor (I can greenstuff those straps) and a luscious mane of hair.

Possibly go for the empire beast mage and assemble some armor on them.

It's been a while since I updated, but I'm going to go ahead and blame that on the previously mentioned order that I placed for Legion of Everblight... which finally JUST came in today (a whole 6+ weeks later)!

I'm thinking I'll do some unboxing pictures of the Archangel simply because from what I've seen of it when I opened it earlier... people need some fair warning of how horrid it is.

The easiest way to put it is that the wings for the Archangel make forgeworld cleaning look like easy sauce.

Hopefully I can get some of those pictures up in a few hours since I plan on starting on the model immediately.

Definitely be interested in an Archangel unboxing. Sorry to hear the cast quality wasn't good- it's a bloody expensive model, so you'd expect some quality.

The model itself is absolutely amazing, and very very easy to build. I was able to finish it last night in a matter of maybe 3 hours. With a lot of the parts where you see some detail missing (like the tail) it actually isn't too bad since you cannot see those areas once the model is built, but alas, it is still a little disappointed. Overall I cant complain (unless it's about the rules!) as it's just too great of a model!

Like I said though, the flash and what not on the wings was especially bad, so here's an "unboxing" of all the pieces inside. I'm going to finish up building the model later today or tomorrow, so I'll be sure to upload pictures afterwards.

Definitely worth it though. I'll see if I cant get some pictures up of the model tonight, assuming I don't get distracted by WoW again (damn that game and it's ability to get me re-addicted without warning).

Been far too long since I've updated, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things as soon as the Creature Caster kickstarter goes live (You better believe I'm getting every single one of those monstrosities).

Until then however, I'll try to post more frequent updates since I actually have been working on stuff... I just haven't bothered to take pictures.

For now, I'll leave you with a couple new figures I've picked up in the last couple months. I was super stoked to get the Forgeworld Lord of Change, but after having gotten the Vrok model from Ultraforge, I can easily say I like it much much more.

And of course, I figured I'd share a mostly updated picture of all those big beasties of mine. It's a rather poor picture and there's a fair number of monsters missing... but it's getting there!

A small update on the things I've been painting the past few days, including the ForgeWorld Chaos War Mammoth which is being repainted in Tzeentch colors and with a Warshrine on top, as well as the Toad Dragon for Tamurkhan (which is also being repainted after a short-lived paint scheme from back when I first got it).

I'm hoping to finish these two by the end of next week and hopefully start up on the next big monster. Looking at either the Forgeworld Bloodthirster or the Ultraforge Vrok.

The pictures came out pretty poor (especially on the Toad Dragon), so I'll be sure to pull out my Light Box next time I post an update.

VROK +1

Love that model, definitely a big impetus for me to suck it up and play a LoC, despite the current Cannonhammer meta

Lovely big critters Butler!

The Vrok is definitely one of my favorite models of all the big ones, easily trumping the Forge World daemons. Now I'm just waiting for the Creature Caster demons and we'll see who's on top of the favorites list!
