I run him with a chainfist (his glowey magic hand) and chainsword. For 115 points he's a fantastic character assassin and backfield harasser (I'd argue much better than an Eversor)
Turn 1 deep strike him in by himself near a good target (character, backfield shooty squad/vehicle) and out of line of sight. He's one guy, so hiding is usually easy. Turn 2 jump forward and punch something in the face with 4 chainfist attacks hitting on 3's rerolling 1s, and a freebee chainsword attack. With 5 wounds and a 4++, he's surprisingly survivable, especially because the rest of the army is usually busy engaging the rest of my assault wave. In every game I've had him in, he's always been awesome.
Bonus, BS2+ rerolling 1 grenades are awesome. A good frag grenade can really finish off straggling squads. I killed 4 skittarrii with one toss before charging forward into another squad (he chucked the grenade behind him and he never looked back at the explosion.
EDIT: Oops, BTOP

Also tried out a turnaround gif. It's passable, but I need a better camera than what my phone has.

Glowy hand is best power fist
I say because just double checked, pretty sure the lad can't get a chainfist - it's under Terminator Melee and he can only get regular flavored Melee Sorry dude, though that doesn't change much for his rampaging abilities, pinpoint grenades and all.

Cool model.
Chaos lord indeed.
And its chaos, so glowy hand attack is perfectly viable power weapon.

As usual, your thread is a treasury of cool ideas and inspiration. Phew, so where to start?
1. The converted Fire Raptor gunship is an excellent conversion idea, and something I wish I'd come up with myself. The spider walker is also very cool -- I especially love how the design could be taken in completely different directions. Right now, it has this clean, slightly retro-futuristic vibe that reminds me of French graphic novels, and it would work really well for a Navigatorial House, strange AdMech sect or what have you. At the same time, it is also strangely tick-like, so it could become a supremely creepy Death Guard tank as well...
2. Love the Raptor Lord -- possibly the first conversion of the awful Wulfen models that I like
3. Lovely Khorne berzerker sketch! I think it's funny how relatively closely it matches one of my own conversions -- on account of both the kitbash and your drawing using a similar set of bitz, so to speak
4. As for your latest update, you may want to check out weirdingway's Houze Merz-Itano Navigators on Ex Profundis or over at the Ammobunker, as he has been doing something similar -- complete with gold foil to make the astronaut helmets reflective. Might be a cool inspiration!
Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks Kraut!
These Admech I'm working on are definitly going for a retro 1950's vibe. A robot-heavy exploratory force or something.
I'll definitely have to look into that gold foil technique.
The vanguard helmet is a glass marble, I've been thinking of a few different approaches: Painting them silver with a glosscoat, using a coloured tamia clearcoat on the bare glass, or using some kind of metalic foil.
Oddly, the only wulfen parts on the raptor lord are the arms/hand. The legs are actually chopped up fenris wolf legs, even the wulfen legs looked too weird and short for the fella.
Awesome berserker! I converted the AoS blood warriors into berserkers, and they look rad... but I'm still torn between them and continuing on with my goatman theme. No humies allowed!

You could potentially get ball-bearings with a chrome'd finish. Then you could transport them by sticking their heads to a magnet.

I considered ball bearings, but given the size they are, they'd be exceedingly top heavy (even if I weighted the bases)
I also need to replicate the effect across the rest of the army, who all have different flavours of "domes" (see the spider-mech in the last page)

Finished the test paint on my retro-Admech. The silver dome isn't neary as glossy as I'd like... I might hit with another couple coats of varnish.
I'm also not sure if the guns should be the same enamel green, but I'm not sure what else I'd make it.

Have you tried clear nail polish as a top coat? I imagine that would do the trick pretty well.

So, when I first started my Chaos beasties like 5 years ago, I didn't put much thought into the actual colour scheme. Khorne was red. So I did red. Blood is also red. Too much red. I've rotated in dark grey and bone as alternate primary colours, but overall my army is very 'flat' on the tabletop. It's all red, all the time.
So I'm toying with the idea of replacing some of the reds (no small task) with another colour that gives some more depth. Also to get away from the "khorne" and more into the "renegades" line of thinking, because I like to run other gods/marks.
I did a blue and a green test. I like the blue, but I think it's too light spacewolf/babyblue and stands out too much. The green/purple/bone is basically just the deathguard scheme, but I -really- like how it pops against the blood red.
What do you guys think? Automatically Appended Next Post: And a yellow for good measure

The yellow is probably my favorite, still warm but gives contrast against the red. Dig the pad glyph too.
Second might be the green? Happy complimentary colors are happy. Kind of like the blue too ... So yea, yellow is my vote, if you can stomach all that yellow. Let's say green as back up for a simpler paint job that might scale up to walkers and stuff better than glaring yellow.

While I actually loved your guys in red - and I am rather happy now to have saved all of those pictures for inspiration - I will admit that they do look excellent in yellow, and maybe this will really give them even more of an identity. There's also a nice "Sons of Sek" vibe going on there that you might want to exploit, if you should ever decide to add some human Traitor Guard.
Anyway, fantastic work, as usual!

The yellow with the engravings is SO much more striking, and the cask on the one from the ogors line is a nice touch! Love your stuff Gibsy, keep it up!
Side question, what color are you using as the base for the guns? Seems like a nice warm grey?

The guns are using just a bone offwhite (P3 jackbone I think?) and then a wash of armypainter strongtone. I'm honestly not sure I like it that much as a third accent colour. I might just do gun casings as darkgrey or yellow from here out.
