I just meant that in the group shot of the fence parts you had a square area and one fence section left over behind it all. I just felt you needed to make one more section so the box could be larger, or make another archway like you have for a second entrance into the graveyard square.
AH! now i got you! that is a good suggestion...although it wasn´t meant to be a square/ circular formation only... i also had the idea of a "snake" like formation too... so a wall with now end and beginning so to speak...

and mate... YOU are spooky...as i rencently got a really thick piece of XPS foam... around 30 cm thick and made a giant tree already from it...with a hot wire tool...man... you are inside my head... i was thinking of a kind of willowtree like thing... if i can do that right...^^

A little piece of upturned ground and a tipped over headstone (you know where the zombie clawed it’s way out of the grave to seek vengeance).
A fresh burial plot with shovels to fill the whole.
this is a nice idea... i had a foggy idea like that and i will make this tomorrow asap!!! it needs to be done

If you need a picture of a willow tree I’ll take one of ours in our front yard. Winter time with snow around it and yellowed grass like a dead earth setting . It looks great in summer and we get lots of compliments about it anytime we are in our yard.

Not where I should be

Am interest (mildly) in Frostgrave as well, so would like any input you have on that. I think most scenery benefits from a seasonal touch. Winter always adds a nice effect to any terrain.

i am in a process to get me the rule book...watched some vids on youtube...it sounds like an easy and fun game...especially when you consider to play it as a campaign...

note...i am currently painting some ebay skeletons...party heroquest oldies and old WHFB ones...all for a nice upcoming game with the family...

also the walls are almost finished... just adding some final touches...

Ach, more people looking at frostgrave....I feel like I’m getting pulled in by others. Let me know how you like it....because I feel it is inevitable that I will get frostbite.

Oh my, I even missed my four years absent jubilee for posting new content...
dunno if someone is even remotely interested any more in my works, mind you the last years I wasn´t exactly lazy ... but live and jobs got the better of me... till my health got the better of me even more... well... as I am still upright but need something to do with my hands i have started yet again with something new...

the cool kids say the printing machines are all the wow nowadays... so I got me a tool too... a filament printer... but me being somewhat of a tech idiot, I have´nt yet figured out what to do with it... all my tries went for the bin... (main problem is probably leveling of the bed and bed adherence...) this at least got me half a year of no productivity alone...

but seeing all of you with new shiny stuff here and there and sources like ebay and etsy all around soon rekindled the flame... if the idiot can´t print, others are able... so I got me some new toy soldiers nevertheless...

games waorkshop sadly never produced something remotly resembling my ideas... but stl´s from really creative peoples do... thus is started to get insprired by products of stationforge... and especially the grim guard...

here I even found standing at attention guardsmen... and marching ones too... and a plethora of more yet to be bought....

and since these "stationary" models need a good and fitting backdrop I built a diorama base to honor them!

but see for yourself, note, painting the base is yet to start, but half of my newly aquired forces are already painted (almost finished too ):

The whole thing is meant to be a bigger imperial base entrance... everything made from styrodur and polysterol foam... cut with hot wire table etc...

Ideas and comments are welcome

for now good night, cheers, Vik

Mostly, on my phone.

Lovely to see you back old son! I think some others on patrol, maybe a shiny tank to proclaim the emperor's glory, a sneaky spy lurking in a corner, some arbites telling a couple of juves to move along... That sort of thing

It's great to see you back Vik! I'm sorry to hear about health problems though. Imperial base entrance is looking cool, especially the backlit pic.

Way to return with a big bang, Viktor! I hope your health is improving. May your cuts be true and your Muse less fickle.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

thanks mateys for welcoming me back to the fold

the models for this diorama are from a creative team called "station forge" saw there stuff of myminifactory.com for quite a while and then recently the minis poped up on ebay as printing agents sell their licensed stuff there... they have a big range of grim guard minis. also nearly as big a range of mechanicus and goblins and orks too... rencently the started with notmarines too...

well... currently I regard this dio as a finished build, so now I have started the painting phase... looking for a warm and friendly looking official look...

to the two soldiers standing at attention eight more will follow and then ten marching towards them, each group overseen by an officer...

@ graven: intersting suggestions... i need to see... a smalish tank might happen... even a scratch build walker maybe... the arbites and juve idea is alone enough to justify their own scene! (tho the spy thing is really tempting...)

well... update shots:

on the last two pics shown are the bases for the soldiers... once all is completed they should fit on the base snugly...
