Thanks. Always loved squats when i was young, and even though the models are a bit one dimensional a bit of basic sculpting skills and you can make a cool lust.

As for the paints just add a bit of water and they revive. Once they run out though they can't be replaced. That's why I've recently been getting into vajello game colour paints. They're normally a better match for old paints than the newer games workshop ones. Only really use the games workshop washes now.

I used to have some 90s paints too but flung them out. Got sick of the white plastic tops they used to have. Absolute nightmare to open.

Thanks. I'm just ecstatic to get this many done. You get lots done with bulk painting but it's a fair old slog

Usually I'm Leary of green and red together but you really make it work. Nice job on the stormtroopers too!

Thanks for the feedback. I went for red as their was so much green in my colour scheme, and the models needed some spots of a warmer colour to break them up a bit. Think the trick is to only paint a few bits red and not go overboard.

Happy with how my storm troopers can out but admittedly a bit intimidated by how many I have to paint!

Taking a break from scion to do a bit of sculpting. Almost finished a psyker sculpt

Been sculpting rather than painting lately. Finished my psyker and enjoyed sculpting it, so I've chopped the head off a damaged standard bearer and am sculpting 2 more.

Also finished sculpting the rest of my scions, and added a cheeky hand signal on one of them.

More painting done, so only black sections left. Took some time to repaint the flesh as well, to bring it up to my current standard.

Thanks. Once I've done these guys another 30 to finish the infantry in this list. Few astropath after that then my vet infantry and scions done.

Problem is at that point I'll need to get serious about my vehicles. Got 7 Chimeras to build, and 5 taurox. Would like 3 demolisher tanks too.

I tend to lose interest when it comes to vehicles as well...

It would help if the vehicles I wanted to use were 'off the shelf' and not scratch-built... but I always struggle.

To be fair into your vehicles look amazing, but too labour intensive for a chump like me

Other news almost there with the scions

Reds done.... No more plasma muzzles to paint, which is a relief.

Face on commander painted to. Temptation is a tribal tattoo on brow and side of face, but would need a finer brush.

Been doing a little converting to escape monotony of painting. One priest converted from a fan sculpt, and finished some more in my psyker battle squad
