Different minimum pricing per region. That's why I'm curious about Sweden.
You know what, I'm actually going to ask a couple of store owners I know... let's see if I get an answer.
Well the quick and dirty way is - what online stores are in Sweden? Do they have a uniform GW discount?

Doesn't sound free at all But I have badass health care and pay far less than what a 25% sales tax would amount to... I guess that's why I live in the world's only Superpower. *flex 'murica muscles* off topic alert! jk jk jk
Make sure you move before having kids though, 400 days paid leave (80% of salary) is a godsend I tell you, me and my wife are taking a year each!
Yeah most have 10%, never seen more except for preorders.

I would guess the MAP for Sweden and that area is 10% then. I have a question - is your sales tax included in prices like the UK (where you see an item with an MSRP £50 which includes 21% VAT) or is it like the US (where you see an item with an MSRP of $50, but does not include sales tax)
If it's included in MSRP I could see the margins being thinner in order to have lower MSRP numbers.

Mymearan wrote: My FLGS told me margins are like 15% for her, don't know if that's actually true. She was saying there's basically no profit in selling GW stuff. Of course we have 25% sales tax. The highest discount you can get in Sweden is 10%, with 15% for preorders in one of the biggest online stores. So with that said I can't imagine they're getting 50% off normal stock.
That margin sounds highly suspect and probably used as an excuse to not provide a discount.
But 25% sales tax is gross. I hate paying 5.3%.
In Spain we have a 21% Sales Tax (10% for basic products like food, etc...), and we have nowhere near the same public services as Sweden Is very sad when you are gonna buy something and you see how a 1000€ becomes 1200€ after taxation.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

We should probably can the tax talk, I think Mymearan and I are already way off topic as it is with the GW trade account rates

Where you seen in the UK that does 25% off? Best I've seen from somewhere reliable is 20% off. I used to be able to get 30% off from a well known (to Dakka) store that went bad, rising to 35% off from a seller who used to break up sets like these ones and sell the sprues separately, neither of these stores are in business anymore. Best discount is from somebody who works at GW, it was 50% last time I checked, but they can't buy in bulk for you.
TripleHelix does a 25% discount, but their Postage Prices are a little high for mainland- Europe, so you have to spend a high amount before it becomes economical compared with Wayland or even Element Games.

I don't know, I never have buy from them because the postage prices are very high for Spain But they seem to be reliable. They don't offer free shipping costs tought, and I don't know how are they shipping costs inside UK, so maybe if they are more expensive is better to buy from other store with a 20% discount and better postage prices.

Are they reliable? How long they been going?
They're OK - they don't hold much stock so delivery can take a little while. They've been around for a while - quick look at my emails says 2014.

If your ordering for delivery its 25% or if your spending over £100 collection.
Yeah most have 10%, never seen more except for preorders.

Sales tax is always included yeah, since it’s the same in the whole country. Also sales tax is charged in all parts of the production chain, unlike in the US where I think it’s only on retail? I don’t know what the point is since businesses get those 25% back anyway, while obviously retail customers don’t.
Edit: you’re right, sorry for OT!

Another Ghostkeel would be nice, as would a Commander and more Crisis suits. Of course, if it turns out that Stealth suits are amazeballs when the Tau codex drops...
To be fair, Stealth Suits are actually pretty great right now. They're the only battlesuit we have other than Commanders that aren't overpriced. T4, 2W, 3+ with a permanent -1 to hit, able to infiltrate, have the INFANTRY keyword so they actually can benefit from cover, plus the ability to take a support system and have 1 FB per 3 suits is pretty awesome. A unit of 6 with 2 FBs, 4 BCs w/ ATS, and a Shas'Vre is about 230 points and is an extremely tough nut to crack if you deploy them midfield in cover. I've personally had a ton of success with them in 8th.
The Tau box is a definite purchase for me, nothing in there that I don't want (although I probably don't have much a need for a 4th Ghostkeel lol).

Any word of a Dark Eldar Battleforce? I'm probably going to end up just getting a Start Collecting set for now, but if they did a Battleforce that included Wyches i'd go for it.

Wyches used to be in all of the de boxes and bundles. But they were terrible before, and i have had tragic results trying to run them in 8th as is. And comparing a succubus to an eviseror assassin is enough to make one cry.

I'm only getting Wyches because I like the models I want to run a kill team of them in Shadow War. For playing 8th Ed I planned on sticking with mainly Kabal/Haemonculi units anyways because Wych Cult units don't seem very good atm, but I figure I should wait to see if there's a Battleforce before I buy anything.
Though if they do a Battleforce that's pretty much the current Army Bundle but a tad cheaper, i'll nab that since I need the contents for sure, and then use the tiny bit of savings towards a box of Wyches. As it is the Army Bundle is actually a little bit more expensive than what I can get the individual components for.

Every single item on that page you linked has a 25% discount marked as the “dispatch price” - this is what they charge for online orders. They then add shipping on top so the overall discount is typically about 22% depending on method. Of course if you choose to pay courier delivery for a single pot of paint you’re not going to save anything…
Also, and sorry for sounding like a shill, if you spend over £100 in one online transaction store pickup is free and 25% off, which is great if you live in London….
Full disclosure, I’ve been using DS since they were Miniatures by Post back in ‘04 and been pretty happy with them all over, though their website could do with a few technical updates.

Ah screw it. I've been toying with the idea of doing the Vanguard Chamber for Stormcast. Getting this with an independents discount is just too convenient. Now I just have to find a way to get Neave cheaply.

She's going to be released separate to the Blight Wars box at some point.
Although I will say that the Blight Wars box isn't a bad way to do a Vanguard Chamber as well, assuming you sell the Nurgle half.
