Been a bit strange lately. But finally got to lay some paint on the Mantis warrior entry. Calling this done, I think I could maybe keep going on a good day, but good days are lacking lately.

So update to the LoER comp, Portal.

Decided it needed a bit more definition to the building, so........

Took some sintra board.


Carved a little detail into it.



Bit of glue and paint...




Added a couple other details, like steam and foliage, the foliage is an experiment in making my own, bit of work to do yet.




Thoughts appreciated, soon be done now I think, want to add some scatter about the place.

Yeah , epic. I love the camp you added to the legs. Such a good idea, I'd be tempted to Do a whole mantis army just like that. And the building is beyond man, I'm gonna try something basic just to get by, provide a base. I just don't have the vision you do!

That portal is fantastic Cam. All those little hand-made details and the though that's gone into it. Really had to take in... it's just, awesome.

That tree is wanting some sort of Spanish Moss. Add some yellows to the foliage?

The rider looks fantastic. Really dig the scheme. The horse (if you can still call it that) is suitably nasty looking. Not a fan of the base though. Not sure I. An put my finger on it. Maybe a little too much bits stuck on?

Well, the tubes in the horse's neck are a bit disturbing... But that is the point, no? It looks fine. I've been meaning to ask about that backdrop, is it hand painted?

That "egg" is truly otherworldly. I need to try that silicone water effect.
