This was a really time consuming project, but I'm fairly pleased with how it's come together.

The basic idea was an Eldar army with a more natural color tone. I was sent a guardian painted in the initial scheme, and based the rest of the army scheme around that initial work.

One difference with this Eldar army is that each of the units sticks to a strong common theme, even the Harlequins and aspect warriors. I was really happy with the different look this gave for the Harlequins, almost like Wardancers in the 41st millennium.

Some highlights of the army are posted below, with more in the gallery on our web site, and more to come soon.

The colour scheme works well on the Harlies, although it unfortunately doesn't make those models look any less silly.

I love the Fire Prism though. The lightning effect in the crystal is a little heavy, but the colouring on the hull is just fantastic.

Neat work!

WOuld hugely benefit from a hint of freehand here and there, some diamonds on the "wardancers" and some leaf or other motifs and battle damage on the war walker. With a few quick additions the army would get much much more personality and show that little extra techincal oomphs - and fetch a better price I would reckon??

Beautiful scheme, one of the most satisfying I've seen on Eldar yet. Nice painting too

I think the subdued colors on the harlies is really nice, but I think Migs is right that some diamonds (or the swirlies that Wood Elves have) would go far.

Yeah, I am a fan of the more ornate Harlequin schemes myself, I had an army of them back in the rogue trader days that rode around in a looted ork battlewagon that looked as if a clown had thrown up on it.

For this army though, the idea was to keep everything in theme, a more natural tone, without the wild colors and patterns that harlequins usually have. I believe the request was something along the line of harlequins that actually looked like they could get in close to the enemy without being seen from a mile off.

Looks amazing!

Suggestions!:
-make the bases more forest-like (the gray gravel parts really don't feel like they fit, despite how nicely they're done)!
-replace all boltgun metal (or w/e color) bits with a wooden paint scheme!!!
-I agree with migsula, some freehand work, like spirally tattoo-like things, would be lovely!
-Remember the old eldar vine pattern on their vehicles? Your Fire Prism is just begging the addition of that

Alas, to each his own though; I'm probably going overboard on the woodelf theme

Anywho, great work keep it up!

Very nice work and I agree with Boss Salvage it's nice to see a different slant on Eldar colours schemes. I for one would be more than happy to own these figures. Well done

Nicely done. The Harlies are silly models, but the paint scheme suits them fine.

Surprised not to see any rangers/pathfinders with that scheme, though...

Nice work. I quite like the Wardancer 40,000 look, though I was skeptical at first. The one thing that bugs me is the blue on your weapons, which often seems like it didn't achieve sufficient coverage, but that's about it.

Those are on the list, probably get to them in another week or two.

Also still coming, Vypers, Jetbike squad, and converted exodite on a jetbike, probably a few things I'm forgetting at the moment.

That color scheme is absolutely elegant.  I also agree that some freehand or something else to give it just that little bit of "something special" would be nice, but it is already quite good.  Good idea and good execution!

Ok, you guys have convinced me, after I finish the rest of it, I'm going to go back and add a thorned vine patten to the falcon bodies.

Nice stuff, looking good.  I agree that you have an opportunity to add more foliage to the bases to complete the look that you are going for.   The trick is to do this without obscuring the models too much.  The way that the base looks on the Avatar is very cool, and very much in the right direction.

I like th scheme alot! Some (more) suggestions:
WE sprue swaps. Heads, capes, etc.
WE Wardancers for Harlequins (or Dryads for rending....).
Viney or leaf patch "camo-netting"- especially on Rangers/Pathfinders.
Feathers on jetbikes.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I too would like to see more Wod Elf miniatures in the mix. All yuour Pathfinders for a start, Pathfinders should be just about all you take for troops.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
