I'm currently at a loss at how to put my Ravager onto its flying base. It's way too unstable and won't stand up on its own if I put it on directly, glue doesn't help. For my Raider, I managed to flip the stand part upside down, glue that down, and whittle down the wide end and jammed that into the hole, but that doesn't work either for this Ravager as it becomes dementingly lopsided due to a metal gunner on one of the sides.

Any advice from Dark Eldar players?

Failing this I'm just considering gluing the bottom of the Ravager to a wooden block and placing that on a 60mm base in my bitz box.

I've seen a few players use 2 bases, the one in the middle and one either on the very front or back. Just make sure the person you play against knows that the middle base is the correct one.

and i thought they smell bad, on the outside

what i did was carefully make the hole slightly bigger with an xacto knife. that way the stem will lodge into the raveger tightly with no wobble. make sure you use the taller of the stems.

I have exactly one Raider on a stand because it has spiky bits on the bottom.  Oddly enough the models do not need a base.  I find that the best method is cut the stem in half and make the whole bigger for more stability though.

Again, I rarely use the bases.

Agreed. I also do not glue them in place so that they transport alot easier then when glued to the chassis.

Mount a lenght of brass rod in the model. Attach a matching length of alluminum tubing to the base. I think the sizes I used were 1/8 and 5/32. Works like a charm, I have had 3 Falcons on these mounts for years & have not had a bit of trouble.

Install a 12kv antigrav unit in the hull and just let them float over the board.
