Update.

I was wrong. It's the full Landspeeder Kit. Rocket pods, Assault Canon, Heavy Flamer, Heavy Bolter and Multi-melta.

Not bad for £7.99.

I'm really not up to date on rules for SM but I really like the look of the build with rocket pods (is that typhoon?) on the sides. What other weapons to pair it with Assault cannon? And ???

Thanks, very informative. That sounds like rather shady business, I'd probably be very frustrated if I ordered a sub only to be told that it was actually just a test run after already having received the first couple of issues.

It's standard practice for partworks, I've done loads of trials (knowing they were trials) so I could see what the mag\parts were like, if you subscribe you may or may not get the magazines (think it depends on stock) but you wont be charged and sometimes get a special offer when the full run starts.

Bit more annoying if you buy it from a shop, but real-world trials are done in limited areas and you generally get an option to get a refund or free issues when the full run starts.

I've read around in the German forums a bit and apparently the subscribers were totally unaware that it was just a test trial and were only told so after already getting hyped for receiving the full sub.
Personally, I'd feel frustrated too.

The UK wasn't told it was a trial either

(but admittedly those that knew how Hachette works figured it out as soon as it was clear only a small geographic region was getting stuff in store which is their normal trial method)

Forbidden Planet have just shipped my extra issues of #47 and #56. I wonder how they managed to get #56 so early, and none of others i’ve ordered in between...

Passenger weapon on any variant (model wise) is Heavy Bolter or Multimelta. Kit comes with the Missile Pods for Typhoon, as well as underslung Assault Cannon or Heavy Flamer.

And it seems fairly easy to make them all interchangeable.

56 rings a bell as one I’ve ordered.
Typhus?

It makes sense, as I had a charge from them today , but my next order is several random issues all from further down the line.
I was wondering what was going on..

And again, here’s reason not to worry.

In the UK we went through everything you guys are, so no need to worry.

I have had something similar twice now. I had emails and charges for #68 and a week or two later for #71 so I rang them. The guy who I spoke to didn't know what had happened but they haven't had it in stock but for some reason there system triggered it to charge and send. He told me it's now showing on their system as an unfulfilled back order and it will automatically ship when it arrives. Even though on my account it just shows as shipped.

Did they say what would happen with the payment? Remain paid for and just ship when the time comes?
I’ll have to keep watch and make sure there isn’t another charge when the issue is released and such..

Oh bugger, i’ll have to ring them if it doesn’t arrive with the issues of 56 (intercessor squad, 2 Lt’s and ancient Danny).

It will just remain paid for unless you request a refund. The consequence of a refund is that it'll cancel the order for that issue. So you'll have to reorder it (& the same thing could of course happen again) plus you will have to pay separate postage on the new order as it can't be added back into the old order. I ordered over 20 issues in one order when they put the final lot up for preorder for 2 reasons.

1) To combine postage as the whole postage charge was only £5.50 for everything!

2) To be high in the queue for priority in case some issues were over ordered

Yeah that’s why I ordered every issue I need between them updating their items listed and the end of the collection.

This is the first one of this batch to be sent so it’s got the postage on too.
But as long as when it comes I don’t get charged again then it’s no worries for me.

Just got another update though, saying #56 dispatched.
That can’t be an automatic thing after taking money, or to me would bring into question every time they send a dispatch email it’s just auto and not actually them sending..

So what have they sent if so..

I'm expecting mine to turn up today or tomorrow Danny, so I'll let you know if #56 is actually in it.

No nothing. Normally within a day of the email I receive them, but certainly by this time usually.
I’ll see by Monday perhaps. Let me know how you get on..

Got my 47’s, not sign of the #56’s though unsurprisingly. I need to give them a ring to make sure it’s all ok.

Forbidden Planet website has issues 41, 42 for the Plageburst Crawler available again for those who want to grab a bargain and avoid scalpers.

For those who have gotten #47 - what shape did the sprue turn up in? Land Speeders were a little notorious about bending or breakage in that "bridge" section between the pilot and gunner.

My 2 copies of #47 turned up fine, so far the only problems with "damage" i have encountered have been the Rhino issue #27 the main top piece of the Rhino has come squashed and bent but not broken.

My 13th subscription delivery arrived just now (issues 47 - 50). Since that came with another ring binder it was delivered in a box, so the Land Speeder sprues were fine. Things might be different if you're ordering issue 47 alone.

One thing I hadn't expected - only two bikes (the poster with issue 1 shows 3). I wonder if the third one will turn up with the attack bike?

They split up the bikes into two separate issues. 1 in one and 2 in another.

mine turned up today, I have to say I'm seriously impressed by the paint guides - not that I'm following them as my colours differ, but the way they have done the cultists is very good with a pretty step by step guide.

didn't expect much of the magazines, but have actually been pretty impressed so far.

Decent scenarios as well

From the Hachette website for non-subscribers who were interested in the two additional books made available.

Conquest Art Book:

Silver Templars Source Book:

https://hachettepartworks.com/warhammer-40000-conquest/warhammer-40000-conquest--silver-templars-sourcebook

As someone who likes physical books, GW art and didn't own the Death Guard Codex or Dark Imperium, I quite enjoyed the art book. If you are a Space Marine fan or just love additional background, the Silver Templars book may tickle your fancy. It is NOT a Codex and has no rules.
