Set up the battlefield for my next Five Parsecs encounter. Would've liked to paint my Striking Scorpions but it's too late and need an early night.

After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

Last models painted last year. I actually finished the last one New Years eve so I was cutting it close but I can say I have one full Phobos Kill Team done. I am missing the Reivers (Which don't come in the box) and I don't have model for the generic troops but from what I understand I don't really need them.

Now I'm not technically 100% done. For starters, they are kinda shiny so I have to hit them with a Dull Coat so I'm going to have to wait for slightly better weather before I can do it. Secondly, since I went for a Blood Angels colour scheme the transfers that came in the box don't have the option. So I'll have to find one online somewhere...also I've never put on a transfer so I'm going to have to practice. Luckily I have some Deathwatch Marines that need their chapters added and I have a transfer sheet I'm not going to use that I can test with.

Also I forgot there are mines in the box I have to paint so I might just get on that right away since it wont take me that long.

Im sitting here trying to decide if it's a good idea to attach the Onager Dunecrawler legs to an Armiger.

Sure, it will look cool as hell, but it will lower the Armiger's profile and I will have to do it 3 more times otherwise it will look weird in my Knight Army.

If you think it'll look cool then you should definitely do it.
At least once.
And if it looks cool enough? Then do it on the others.

Been reading up on the old stuff again, research into the wonderful world of RT continues.

I've learned that White Dwarf issues 93 - 166 contain additional rules, FAQs and errata to Rogue Trader, currently in the process of compiling all the articles into one super document, which I will then compare against all the officially published expansions. I am quite certain all the WD material is not 100% reproduced in the expansion books, so need to narrow it down to whats missing first.

My aim is to eventually create a "Rogue Trader Bible" style document which has everything ever officially written about 1st edition, with all the erratas inline. A big portion of the work involves reverse engineering the idiosyncratic graphic design style of the era, creating SVG vector files of all the relevant logos and whatnot. Inverse colourscheme optimized for dataslate consumption of course.

Practically finished painting the earlier mentioned Striking Scorpion, then went and played through my 38th Five Parsecs from Home Encounter. I write a diary of my campaign and usually write the BatRep down after the game ends, but it's gotten too late so will write up the rest using the photos as a reference tomorrow.

Finished writing the BatRep then I rolled through the 39th Campaign Turn and the next encounter which turned out to be a Street Fight, the first one of my campaign so far. So that might be cool.

Dish soap is what's meant by mild detergent. They just don't want you using industrial strength degreaser just to clean resin bases!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Warm water (tap warm not boiling warm); a drop of dishwashing soap of your choice and a worn toothbrush.

soak and scrub then rinse under cold water and you're done.

you're just getting light residue of mould release agent off the resin models. You don't have to go nuts with the scrubbing. You also don't want boiling hot water as that's what you use to bend resins; you're just washing so it only needs to be warmed.

Thanks, I was actually thinking of using body wash... I'm glad you stopped me.

It would've been awkward to open my gaming case at a shop, and have people comment that my army smelled like Irish Spring.
