I dig it. The ensignia and storm shield in particular stand out to me. One thing I do not like however is the beakie helm on a termie. It's a preference thing though and I don't think it takes away from 'terminator' much if at all.

You know I really don't get how anyone could have a problem with counts as when it's just a color scheme, especially if the rest of the models are done well like this one.

dude, I love it
I'm doing an all beaky army currently, and I wussed out on the terminators.
now that I've seen it done, I may need to go back and do 2 more squads.
thanks for the inspiration!

I like it too!

However, I'd consider bare faced =I=, it just adds so much character. I'd also add a lot of foil purity seals to all of them and do additional detailing on the =I=s armor since you can handle sculpting like so!

Hellfury great work man!

I converted some Blood Angel Terminators along a similar concept a few years back, I'll have to post pics sometime soon.

I love the helms, actually if you look at the really old terminator artwork and models from the first Space Hulk they often had these kinds of helmets.

So I think they work nicely to give them a more archaic and artificer feel.

Top stuff though dude looking forward to seeing them painted.

They look great....

I PERSONALLY HATE THE BEAKIES on terminators. But the rest of em look awesome. Maybe you could try chopping the nose off a few of them to give them a differentish face if that makes sense? Also, a few bare heads thrown in there can't hurt!

So whats wrong with good old fists for lysander?

I love it! Great theme and execution. On esuggestion... Ihate the hound helmets as well. I used Berzerker helms and cut off everything so they just have  a greek looking "T" visor helm. The fit well and look great on termies. You may want to give it a try on a squad.

Keep up the great work... and expect me steal your apothecary idea.

These all look good! Something that came up in my mind however is this: why did you choose to use plastic termies rather than grey knights? Is it because you have 11 unopened boxes sitting around? Do you want to customize them? Marvelous job, regardless.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm relatively new to all this......but, I've read the thread beginning twice and I still can't work it out.....is this an Imperial Fists Terminator force or an Inquisitorial force?

If its an Inquisitorial force, why use Imperial Fist rules? and whats the significance of Lysander? He'd only be relevant if it was an Imperial Fists force....if its not, then big deal????

Are these Space Marines or "normal" humans in Terminator armour?

I'm sorry but with these questions its hard to really appreciate the thought and effort gone into these miniatures. I like them, but I can't picture where they "fit in"......

The beakies are okay, I guess it works.

I'm glad to see that you're driving that Termie Apothecary idea in the ground.

I'll just start off by saying that the beakie heads look great! I actually don't like the normal terminator heads and this is the best alternative I've seen. I also really like the brown stuff icons. I can't wait to see more of it!

Mmm "counts as" ...

I like 'em Hellfury, the beaky heads work well and that cast shoulder ikon is quite nice. The only thing I don't like is the insistance on them not being marines - I just don't find it that workable that this is an entire army of humans in highly modified terminator armor, with the special weapons totted by more ranking officers and such ... But that's all fluff, and I'm sure you've got some solid stuff behind it. Calling the army a super-secret marine force dedicated to a high-ranking but particularly shadowy Inquisitor works fine for me

Luck with the rest of the madness, I look forward to pics of those boxes all banged together!

so, I only have an extra 3 boxes of terminators, not 11
but I am just wondering, is it difficult to make the beaky helmets fit in the terminator head slots?
I just don't want to butcher any helmets, as I've been begging and trading like mad to get them.
thanks for any advice

Thanks. It gets better when you see a plural of corvus on the termie bodies.
I have no idea either. Some people just hate going against GW canon so much that they view any creativity to be bad. Personally, if they feel that strongly about it, they are probably in the wrong hobby.
See that's not why I hate the look of corvus helms on termie bodies at all.  I hate the way any power armour helmets look on terminator bodies.  The only exceptions I've found are some of the knightly looking helms from the BT plastics.  I've seen a few conversions with those that seem decent looking.

I think my problem with the look is that, to me, it looks like a power armour helmet in a terminator armour body.  You're taking two established armours and mixing them.  The result just feels and looks odd.  It's not a GW canon thing as much as it's a matter of trying to mesh together two different visual elements without making the viewer think too much about where the different elements came from.

After rereading my answer I suppose I've let GW background enter into my through process, but it's not an intentional thing for me.  I don't see it as a "female space marine" issue, where it looks wrong because it clashes with established canon.

It might be fun to stick a Sisters of Battle head on a Termie or two, maybe using the spares from a Immolator kit, to really drive home the "NOT MARINES" theme. Of course my desire for such might be based on my irritation I can't put my cannoness in termie armor. Still, it might be pretty cool, and serve to visually seperate the army further from Marines with Different Colors issue.

Oh please. I know for a fact that Hellfury made these conversions as an answer to
Doc Thunder's Female Space marines. Terminator Armor has always had room for
extra boobage.

It's true- that's why the Space Wolves love termie armour so much.  The whole "bear" thing they've got going on is just a thinly veiled cover-up of their huge, hairy cleavage.

I'm liking the conversions Hellfury.
I'm a fan of how the beakie marine helms look.

Keep going with the theme, its a big sci-fi universe, and I like it and wouldn't have any problems playing against it.

Get some painted pics up so we can enjoy them some more...
