I finished assembling another 10 Bloodreavers:

https://imgur.com/gallery/hfeEd

These are the first of the multipart ones I've assembled, having just dealt with the easy fit versions before. I've given them meatripper axes and it's my intention to make this a full unit of 40. The overall plan is to have 3 units of 40 (two with reaver blades and this one with axes). With light troops like this you either go big or go home.

EDIT: I completely forgot that photobucket decided to be total donkey-caves and charge for what was once free so I've changed that link.

Here's a couple of the forces I am pulling off the shelves to finish for some skirmish games. The first are my Orcs; I've had a love affair with orcs for a long time now, I don't really know why, maybe it's all the green? I'm particularly fond of the boyz with bows, they are the monopose plastics from the Warhammer starter about 12 years ago? Also my warboss is the leader from the old metal Regiments of Renown crossbow regiment, bought with a sprue of the Arrer Boyz and the dual-choppa boyz back when GW had a bitz section of their online store. As I said, this warband has been in progress for a pretty long time!

The other warband are my latest acquisition of Skaven from the Gencon of last year and the year before. There's this awesome seller there that has about 50 Rubbermaid tubs of single miniatures to sift through, I don't think any model in this force cost me more than $1.50, other than the Warlord and Rat Ogre which ran about $5 each. (The Grey Seer doesn't count, that was bought as the full blister for me by my wife for last Christmas.)

He looks awesome!

Have you created custom rules to use him in Gorechosen?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

These are the first things I've painted specifically for Age of Sigmar (as opposed to finishing the army I was halfway through when AoS came out); the Tzeentchian models from Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, which will be getting their first outing in a three-player Age of Sigmar Skirmish campaign at Warhammer World next Wednesday.

Made big progress on a replacement branchwych:

Made entirely with leftover parts and kitbash fodder left over from other projects.

Looking at it the next day, I see there's still some work to do on the neck, and will probably work the viney, root motif there too.

I've been working on Terrain for my AOS table, I picked up some Woodland Scenic brand 5-7" deciduous tree armatures , along with their sticky tac, and a set of fall foliage and some traditional green foliage

So far I have created 6 trees, I attached a 1" wide washer under the base of each one to give it weight and stability.

I'm also finishing painting my High Elves as well as getting ready to buy the last units for my wive's Wanderer's army.

When I am home from work, I'll upload some images of the trees.

Normally my armies have a good amount of conversion work, but for my Kharadrons I'm going to focus on some really cool base work. While of course they will never live up to the shocking majesty that is Bottle's bases, I'm hoping they will at least look OK. With that goal in mind I started work on basing my Endrinrigger unit champion:

The terrain will have a monsoon-desert-jungle sort of thing so models will often be cutting through vegetation that has burst up from the ground. This should give me plenty of options for suspending the models without needing to use clear plastic.

Really clever alternative flying base work there! I like that a lot!

I've also got some Overlords to present, but they're not quite as impressively modelled.

Thanks!

Nice work on those thunderers, the unit looks good with all rifles (too bad the current point structure means they don't get used ).

Hi everyone,

My painting mojo has gone a bit westwards of late, and the new 40k has not helped the Age of Sigmar painting pile either. However, this weekend I got my mojo back, and finished off my Freeguild!

This is the little crop that got completed - already have 24 Handgunners, a couple of Wizards, and a General done and dusted for these guys.

Had to add a bit of the Ironweld Arsenal, of course:

And a Steam Tank!

Honestly Matt if you did a Twitch Stream I bet you would get a LOT of viewers. With your consistently good and insanely fast output I would certainly tune in to see how the hell you do it! In short: please film yourself painting minis Brush Lickers United is a great Community on Twitch which most painters belong to, they have an FB Group as well.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that. Can see some issues straight away, not least that you would be shocked if you saw the poor lighting I paint under - as weird as it sounds, I paint a lot by touch

After seven games at Warhammer World last weekend, it turns out that while you can make a Skirmish force from the contents of Silver Tower, it's not a very good one. The Gaunt Summoner or a Pink Horror can pick off a few Stormcast with Arcane Bolt, but then the daemons and Tzaangors get mashed to a pulp by angry hammers. Back to the High Elves, I think.

An impulsive black coach conversion after reading about the changes to it in gbh2.

Took me about 1H to clip, saw and glue the whole thing. I had no use for the mortis in a pure nighthaunt army anyway.
Prolly not the first to make this style of BC conversion but it atleast makes the model look uptodate while we wait for GW to make a new kit.

Nice. I agree that the basic black coach is... Ehm... Lets say lackluster.

Finished a 70 Renown Bloodbound Skirmish warband ready for a tournament event in September. I absolutely love these models so I am really happy to have them all painted up at last. (I finished the Slaughterpriest almost one year ago!)

Bottle, I am in awe of your awesome Bloodbound painting skills! They're a real inspiration for me!

I've just got more Overlords to show, including my first conversion with them (a simple head swap). I hope to start painting one day!
