I read the codex the other day and cant find any rule saying my termy lord can deep strike with a squad of terminators, so I assumed he could! But in the White dwarf apoc battle report they had the lord deep strike witht he rest of the termies which I found awesome now but we all know WD likes to break rules to make things cool so I put the question to you all....... Can my Terminator lord deep strike with a squad of terminators?

If I advance, follow me. If I retreat, shoot me. If I die, avenge me.

No, only the DA can using the Deathwing assault special rule.

Not just the DA space marine captains and librarians and such can have retinues and be able to deep strike.

If I advance, follow me. If I retreat, shoot me. If I die, avenge me.

If they can't I'll be annoyed (just for rules sake)

If terminator armour (IE The Basic Marines in Terminator Armour) can do it,
you would have to assume more experienced and simply better elites would be able to as well.

On strict interpretation I agree with the other two that they probably cant (as GW haven't said either way)

But ona game play point of view,
I say go for it

There is nothing in the rulebook or Chaos Codex that allows you to join an IC to a unit before they are actually on the board.

However, the rulebook FAQ added a rule allowing an IC to come on from Reserves with a unit provided that they both pass their Reserves roll on the same turn.

But in the White dwarf apoc battle report...

I believe Apocalypse has different rules for determining when a model comes in from Reserves.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'
