Yeah, I've been regretting adding those War Pulpits to my order. REALLY starting to wish I'd just gone with moreTroopers instead.

Every time they say they're shipping stuff out there's always the "except if you had any of the large models in your pledge" notice and it makes my heart sink a bit.

Same boat, Uber Avatar is going to keep my pledge waiting until the end (though I think she's further along than the pulpits and such?) But hot damn I'm excited to get these girls on the painting/gaming table ... eventually

I think they had a cunning plan where they hoped everyone would pay for extra shipping waves if their order was gonna be held up by the big stuff or metals.

Funnily they have not allocated a new tracking number for the rest of my order but resent the old one, so I have no way of verifying that they have actually sent anything or where it currently is until it turns up on my doorstep (or not). Even funnier in their message saying that they have shipped they also say; 'Don't hesitate to be in touch if you need anything (or just want to say hi!) '. Just a shame that they never bloody respond nor rectify the mistakes they make!

I apparently got a shipping notice. Let's see if there is any spit on my minis once they arrive...

OMG...I got my box.

1: yay
2: There's so many unmarked bags filled with minis that I took on look and went..."i cant deal with sorting this right now" and had to shut the box.

I may have been one of those backers who bought lots of everything....There gonna be lots of sorting to figure it all out...

I just received my package. Everything is in it, which is a relief. The sprues for the Knightesses (sp.?) of the Chalice is enormous. I'm a bit curious to see how they look once assembled.

How much were they asking for to pay for extra shipping waves? And what's outstanding? Since they don't really communicate outside of bi-monthly links to overly-dense and self-congratulatory novellas hosted on their own website which I don't have time to wade through.

I think the extra shipping waves were US$15 but wouldn't swear to it.

Outstanding stuff is;
"Ready to cast"
Centaurs. (Sci-fi and fantasy)
Centaur command. (sci-fi and fantasy)
Knights.
Knight Command.
Daughters of the Orphanage.
Daughters of the Orphanage command.
Angel wings.(sci-fi).
Augusta the mother superior. (sci-fi and fantasy)
Lust elves Matriarch.
Void elf sorceress.

"Sculpted"
Altar of the Succubi.
Ashara on Pegasus.
Avatar of Shaah.
Draak chariot.
Horse chariot.
Spider mother.
War Pulpit.
The Harvester of flesh (sci-fi and fantasy).

All the metal stuff is due after all the resin has been shipped.

"Never going to happen"

My pithiness about the shipping comes from the fact they run loads of sales which is starting to smack of Maelstrom abit (ie. poor cash flow).

Not much mould release on Erzebel, haven't look at the other sisters in detail.
The Angel (Feathered) Wings for the Icariates are shipping, too - guess their state on the website isn't up to date.

I've been assembling some of the Knights of the Chalice. I'll see if I can post pictures tonight.

That reliquary on their back juts out so far, though... it's redonkulous. The All-Star dudettes though. Wow. They'll show if you're not a good painter. They have large areas of skin-tight clothes with few details, so you can't just "wash away" sloppy base coats.

Said it before and I'll say it again: REALLY regretting buying War Pulpits.

If not for those, I'd have my full pledge by now. I didn't want to pay for second wave of shipping, since I ended up spending more than my initial pledge as it was.

Not only that. After having assembled a few minis, it's amazing how many pieces don't stay on the sprue during shipping. So I ended up with a bunch of pieces loose in the bag... and quite a few extra ones. I think. Does that mean that they put extra pieces on sprues in case some fall off... or did some poor schmoe not get all of his upper arms and I have them at home?

I want to start my sisters!!! Every update makes me want them more and more! Curse you; War Pulpits! I should have just paid the extra $15 for a second wave of shipping.

Then MAYBE, I'd have something more than just my freebies in hand by now. By the time I get my stuff, GW will have released plastic sisters! Or at least that's how it's feeling.

The batch I have in front of me at the moment match what I found with the freebies;

If they are a very light grey they clean up easily.
A mid grey requires a lot of cleaning (at least twice with a powerful degreaser)
A very dark grey = thrown in the bin. The resin has not cured properly and will constantly leak residue onto the surface and there is nothing one can do about it.

For this lot I have cleaned them twice and left to air and they are mostly okay, the sisters need more scrubbing and one of the characters (not shown in pics) has been thrown away.

I have found the most entertaining bit of looking at these models is how on some of them the base tab is separate (ie. not connected to the model in anyway), I have often thought when assembling fragile models with sodall connection points that what I really needed to do to add stability is cut off the tab and have the model attach to the base by the smallest possible area. Thankfully RH has made this easy for me on their most 'dynamic' models! very generous of them! (note: the above was sarcasm).

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Took a couple of hours to put together my not Incubi. The mould release came off with out trouble and the casts are mostly free of bubbles, the resin is not brittle at all but the mould lines are terrible though. As bad as the freebies and in equally stupid places.

I have not come across any scale shots for these yet so posed the Incubi with and Eldar guardian and mk.IV marine;

This photo is my favourite though, it highlights just how excellent the casting process used by RH is;

For anyone struggling to work out what that is, it is a huge crack running down the leg of one of the Incubi. That takes skill.

Agreed. Sure it has taken a while to deliver but this is a kickstarter so my approach is to take any timing estimates with a pinch of salt. My freebies were fine and the models are superb. No excessive mold release or significant miscasts. I had one model that had broken in transit and after a quick email and picture sent, they added a replacement to my next delivery. Not saying people haven't had problems but just pointing out that not everyone has.

Now, I am still waiting for my second part of the order as I have some of the big models in there. If they are still outstanding in 6 months time I might have a different point of view
