Thank you. I picked them up to paint without any intention of starting an army and I enjoyed painting them so much I am actually going to start a Wood Elf/Sylvaneth army.

Im happy with the skin tone, but I feel like I need to work on the bronze more.

Going to the AoS event at warhmmer world next weekend. Currently in panic mode - my original army was made and getting painted, but after some test games it was clear I was never going to get games finished in the time available or remember all the abilities etc. Last minute decision to do another smaller easier army with less funky abilities (that I won't forget about or spend long thinking about).

Half done half still on the sprue. 1 week to go :(

None of them are done, but there's a chance I'll finish the Wight King this week-end. so here goes.

Friend of mine did the cloak. The big thing left is the face, and I am thinking of making it look like the Wight still has rotten skin left, rather than painting a pure bony face. I went for a Blood Dragon styled armor, leaving the mail and the sword clean and well kept.

Next model is my Count's Champion, went for a Carroburg Greatsword scheme, I am only missing a black metallic paint to finish the armor he'll be done.

I am a lot more pleased with the fur of the cloak, especially compared to the one on the Wight King, which I kinda messed up. The green on the laurel crown was delibaretly made this way to look faded and worn out.

All of this made up 2000 points for a tournament I played today, sadly a combination of bad rolls and a bad partner cost us everything real fast.

Thanks all. They're not 100%, but they're probably as far as I'm going to go for a long while. Local meta is probably forcing me to put them on a shelf until I move, but I can rest easier knowing they're basically 99% completed in terms of assembly and painting.

I really did like how the bronze-y effect turned out alongside the gold weapons and the red accents.

The Overlords displayed as a painted army look fantastic. As I wrote before, I love the look, just not sure I'm up for the challenge. The amount of area to cover just for basecoats on the ships looks immense, forget about highlighting etc.

Yeah those ones there are entirely unhighlighted. You can't tell, but I also haven't added the little runes to the boats or their shoulder pads. It can be a lot of work, but damn do they look great on a table or in a display case.

I'm hoping my skaven look that good when they're done though. Skaven was honestly my true passion project army, I just got side tracked by other things thinking their rules were far too outdated (which was wrong..and even more wrong now).

I absolutely love them. The red on the gunhauler could use another shade (although it might just be the lighting), but that blue glow is amazing! Well done!

I actually have no idea why the one is so much more red, ha! It did help to say which one had the fancy artifact though.

At the moment I'm working on getting my Start Collecting Iron Jawz done. Calling them "Conga da Ice Chompa's Fist".

Also working on rebasing my Khorne units from AoS starter set, giving them a pirate theme.

Cheers haha, think they'll make a nice looking bunch of corsairs and raiders when they are done. Hoping to find some decent scale boats to go with them at some point. Will also be adding some Skaven to the mix and some beast men, want a motley crew of chaos filth (plus the idea of skaven being forced to carry ships across dry land amuses me).

As for the Orks, got the first 5 Ardboys done and the Warchanter!

Quick question re photos, do people prefer from camera or touched up a little?

He kinda reminds me of the Black Knight from Python, maybe try a wood themed base? Or a grassy planes base?

As for the base, none of my other armies are going to have grassy/wood bases, so yeah, that'd fit well and I could sprinkle the bases with dead enemies, tzaangors could work because I've had models with dead Orks and skeleton bits.
