Spawn issue arrived. Now I’m wishing I ordered two. I can’t decide what bits I want to use, too many I like!

Though I do have lots of old pieces of things, I’ll see if I can find a body like part, build the spawn parts from there maybe..

Actually thinking on it, I may expand that search to non GW parts, Mantic and such I’ve got stuff from, something somewhere might suit..

Really? I think we will have other 2 in next month.
Not yet get issues 71-74, I was very unsure about spawn... I will find out soon.

Yeah the four issues this time are paints, tallyman, the Spawn, & the objectives Sprue.

Then the next four are the big tank. Repulsor.

After that it’s the two scenery things. Galvanic Magmavent.

It looks like the last 2 are only the walkways from the galvanic magnavent. It seems we had the other parts earlier.

That sounds about right. They are bits I didn’t need so I just ordered the spawn and tallyman with everything else I had wanted from FP.
So only Tallyman to come now for me..

Ohhh. I didn’t know that. Spawn are pretty easy to made anyway.

I was wonder what happened after issues 78? In list guessing issues from page 1 did put in issues up to 80 but that’s not 4 issue a month for delivery?

The first and last deliveries are only 2 issues if I remember correctly.

The remaining issues now are:

73: Nihilakh Oxide and Nurgles Rot paints
74: Tallyman
75-78: Repulsor
79-80: Sector Mechanicus Walkways

that was the one 66-70 according to the website should have had a binder, the binder issues have all come in a box, but these came in the black plastic bag, wondering if the binder is coming in the box for the next lot with the extra paint stuff here.

expect this is due to the warehouse move, but would have been nice to at least get a "sorry the next issue will be a bit delayed" letter, at this rate it will be eight issues arriving at once

Yeah as in my post it’s just the Galvanic bit, walkways only as Phil added.

It’s just a delivery of two, as Issue 1-2 was for the first lot.

Just got an email from them:

*Delays to your deliveries*

Dear subscriber,

As you may be aware, we have recently moved to a new distribution centre and have been working hard over the past few weeks to manage this changeover. Unfortunately, the transition has led to some delays sending out dispatches. We are very sorry that these have affected your subscription to Warhammer 40,000: Conquest.

We expect the delays to continue until the end of February, however, please be assured that your overdue copies will reach you in due course and from March onwards your deliveries should be back on track with the original schedule.

Please also be advised that our returns address has changed. If you decide not to keep a received issue, you must send it back unopened within 14 days to the following address:

MDA Swift Park
Old Leicester Road
Rugby
CV21 1DZ

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience during this changeover.

Kindest regards,
The Publisher

Are partworks a thing in the USA? I would imagine the size of it would make them difficult.

For the most part, no.

But I don't think the size should deter any company from doing this - with a little planning, forecasting, etc., it could easily be made to work here and, I'd imagine, it could be a big success for all parties...

had the email as well, sounds like a facility move isn't going to plan somewhere.

Although I initially considered the late delivery to be a bad thing, I am not due back home until late Feb/ early Mar.

Late delivery has now become an additional chance to intercept the larger box containing the Silver Templar additions before the Long Haired Admiral sees it and, you know, judges.

The email says things should be caught up by March - which is when Conquest ends anyway. All it means to me is another few weeks to get caught up some more with the backlog.

Hmm. I didn't get any such email about my subscription. Although it would explain why I haven't had either my December or January deliveries yet.

wondering if for Conquest this will end up with the last ten arriving as one delivery, with the extra paint set, and I hope the missing binder?

you hope the Mortal Realms one was set up at the new facility, otherwise the idea of launching it during the move seems pure folly?

If you’ve only got three binders, that’s because there was a problem with your delivery. All four binders have been sent out to subscribers along with issues 67 - 70 in December.

Mortal realms seems a total screw up, trial subscribers had an email back in first week of Jan stating we needed to, again, give payment details and another email would state how to do this. Which was never sent. On mobile devices you cannot enter the info even when you find the right page.

Then after that the page never acknowledges it has your info.

I've received nothing , a random letter turned up yesterday confirming my subscription.

I'll be cancelling after the first delivery and have already reserved with my local newsagent like I do with Conquest.

Whoever runs hachette must surely realise that having a piss poor website and delivery service kills their subscriber numbers and reputation, surely ?

these days customer service seems a lost art, their web site is indeed terrible, seems it will accept info (except if it doesn't like your browser, or the day has a 'y' in it), but then the website doesn't actually update for about a week so you have no idea if it worked or not, which seems weird.

apparently changing customer service company, because, of course, they have outsourced it to the lowest bidder nd that went as well as can be expected.

phoned to try and shift to the premium package, was advised to wait a few issues and call back as that would reset the payment details (wtf?) as they would have to cancel the sub and set up a new one and it would cancel the free issues...

expected the delivery with issue 1 & issue 2 about the time issue 2 hit the shops, still no sign of it, though the website does have three blank lines with dates next to them which may mean 1, 2 and the modelling kit have shipped.. but who knows?
