Been Around the Block

For too long I was just lurking around, but this has an end now.
As Apocalypse neared I was tempted to built sometng big, so I started to built a Warlord Titan out of the Cities of Death sprues.
But then the first pictures of the new Orcs arrived, the rumours became certain and my liilte heart turned green again.
At first I wanted to built just one bigger Dread as a leader for a Dreadmob, but when I finished the body  I couldn´t stop and just built on and on....
So enough blabla
Here are the pictures.
Still very WiP and in need of detailing:

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Grobrotz/stompas/?action=view¤t=IMG_5025.jpg

Do you think thats all?
No, he brought some fellas with him!

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Grobrotz/stompas/?action=view¤t=IMG_5034.jpg
What only 4 of them?
Noo way....

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Grobrotz/stompas/?action=view¤t=IMG_5022.jpg

So, that are eight of them in the works, all created mainly out of the Manufactorun set, some parts of the other CoD sets and random bitz.
They are really dirt cheap, out from one Manufactorum set you can build at least 2 of them, or 3 if you strech the bits a llitle, thats a stompa for just 8 Euros!

Hahaha these guys are awesome ^_^!

Really original use of the GW cityscape.  Can't wait to see how they shape up with some paint.

As for the pictures, use the html link from photobucket instead and you should be golden.

The links work for me.

Very nice concept, it will be interesting to see what they all look like together when finished.

The html link also wont work

Since you're using photobucket, try just copying and pasting the HTML Tag.  I know when I post things, they won't show for me right away for some reason, so I hit edit and they pop up >.>...not sure why...but it works ^_^;.  Then I just save changes and they show for me.

There is also the button in the edit bar at the top of the post body.  Find the mountain with the sun button, it's the post picture button.  And just copy and paste the image address (http) into that.

They are quite small for Stompas, considering you should fit 20 orks inside and bigger is better for Orks, but it's nice to see the true orky spirit of this project and see where you go with them

Small progress on the second Stompa, he´s slightly bigger and bulkier than the first one.

And I punched several thousand rivets while watching TV.

I really like how you have that stompa actually, well, stomping. Or at least toddling. It's a very Orky pose.

Can't wait to see these guys painted.

@yakface: depends on how much you are willing to spent and how patient you are.
You can send me a message with an offer.

I think about casting the main weapons to speed things up a little.

Wow, these guys look fantastic. Amazing work with the Manufactorum sprues. At first I thought they were cool looking but not super Orky, then you added the hundreds of rivets and it all came together for me.

So, its almost a year since the last post.
But I´ve been busy.
I was always building a little bit here and there, but now I have enough to show some teasers:
Almost finished Mekboystompa, Only some details, Rockets and Bigshootas need to be added.

Now, a small Squiggoth, I used a cheap Revell Dinosaur. His bigger brother is also in the works.

And now my Apocalypse Waaghboss, yet to be named.
He started as an ordinary Ruzzbot, but then I thougt about something special for my Apocalypse games, so he was born.
The story behind him is that he was foolish enough to challenge a Warhound titan in hand to hand combat.
His mekboy collected then what was left from him and inspired by Marine Dreadnoughts he built an iron body for him.
He just thought bigger is better

More photos soon to follow.

Ok first off this is a fantastic project, I really like the idea.

My problem with them is they don't look orky enough IMHO some extra plasticard WAAAGH! teeth would go a long way as well as some minor additional gubbins. Just a thought.

This will be alot of fun for your apoc games .

Agreed, they look a bit on the clean side for Orks, still very very nice.
