I think so? I just checked the pledge manager, and it has a completed order, including shipping, from about a year ago. I received my freebies a while back, so I know I at least got that far.

that is weird then!

You definitely should send them an e-mail and/or online chat with them - I hear they like that sort of thing?

Or are at least somewhat responsive?

I emailed them two or three weeks ago; didn't come here until I had given up on every hearing back. I suppose I'll give it another shot.

Well I received the remaining figures from my pledge. Overall detail looks pretty good, there's still some bubbles and air voids here and there that standard pressure casting or injection molding would have taken care of.

I took the first wave out of the bag about three months ago to 'evaporate' the mold release as suggested. Two days ago I did the 50/50 Simple Green/water dip to clean them off.

A few still feel really slick- not greasy per se, but slippery.

Has anyone had good results following that cleaning method, followed by primer and paint, even if the surface was still slick?

A car paint spray primer seems to work ok for me (but reportedly not brush on or airbrush primer)

After nagging a few times. I had my stuff arrive when I got home. RH were cool and let me juggle up my order and swap a few things out as well.

I've always used LA Totally Awesome, which is a degreaser you can get in the states at the 99 cent store. It's cheap and is a great paint stripper as well.

Figures have gone together fine, but the biggest issue for me is the glue I like takes forever to cure with the RH figures for some reason. Still hate some of the tiny small contact points.

Tamiya spray primers have worked well on them. No issues with it running either.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I used dish soap and a toothbrush to scrub them and then rinsed in warm water. I had to use accelerator with my super glue to get it to cure in a timely manner. I then primed with Vellejo Airbrush Primer and haven't had any problems.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I think I'll do a test run with the Vallejo Airbrush Primer which I use from time to time, and a test with Dupli-Color Auto Primer (which I really like). I may try the 'Self-Etch' green which I have used on other resins that were primer resistant.

Thanks again

Aren't they still technically not finished with the first kickstarter? Or did backers finally get the art book?

Oh ho you are correct. But this is not part of their MINIATURES side of the business. So..they can start it cause its a COMPLETELY different department.

It's like 2 different companies. eh eh eh.... Veeeeeeery Clever

The art book(s) will never happen, as whenever people ask them about it, they clamp up and start whistling whilst looking anywhere else.

At the very least they owe an apology to the few backers who pledged solely for an artbook at this point.

Got my goodwill shipment, which I believe is supposed to lull me into a false sense of security so I'll back their terrain Kickstarter.

Pretty sure I'm still owed a whole lot of figures before I worry about any additional Kickstarters. Not fussed about more card terrain either at this point.

Got my goodwill shipment friday, which... pretty much seems to be everything I ordered, except for maybe two metal figure.

Also randomly got sent some scifi bits that I didn't order.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

For those in the US who have gotten their packages. What service delivered it (USPS? FexEx? UPS?) and where did it come from?

It's been a week since I got my email, and I'm curious if they're shipping it all the way over from France or what. No tracking number or any followups.

USPS dropped it off, and it was definitely from France.

Of course mine seemed to have wallowed in a puddle before it looked like it was repeatedly kicked, but surprisingly everything was intact except for a single water damaged bookmark.

Ah, thank you.

Coming from France explains why it's taking over a week past the "Your package has been sent" email.

Coming via USPS explains why there is no tracking or followup email.

As an aside, I never got any email about the shipment, it was a total surprise when it turned up at my door.

Neither did I.
A few days after their "extra shipment" announcement 90% of my minis arrived. Still waiting for 3 final minis and I'm done with this.
I a glad I must say that I added the not St. Celestine. It is a lovely model.

I never got an email about my stuff being on the way, either. Just turned up in my mailbox.

The not incubi and not warriors weren't in it, for some reason.

I still haven't opened any of my packages beyond the first, pathetically small one that contained the freebies and not much more. They've been airing out for months now. Bleeding gak-quality resin, bubbles and terrible inventory management mean I'm sure I'll have to contact them for replacements and (more) missing models.

At a certain point, some companies become more effort to deal with than is worthwhile. Being a "good" customer and buying a lot of stuff ends up becoming a far, far worse experience than buying very little - or indeed - nothing at all.

Organisation, communication and clarity are the key factors there.

All of this. I thought everything but the metals and some of the larger things were supposed to be done, btw. Did anyone else have my issue with not getting the kabalite warriors or the Incubi?

Well, I got my email notification and the package arrived in a couple of days. Well packaged and pretty quick but I am just over the channel. They added the replacement model that was miscast in my first order.

Now the downside, one model had a lot of thick flash on it and they sent me a set of fantasy knights rather than the not-terminators. They responded to my email within a couple of hours though and replacements are being sent. I must be unusual as they have always treated me well.

The models themselves are fantastic. The avatar is stunning. They are all very detailed and it would terrify me to transport some of them because of the delicate parts

They're not deliberately confused or malicious, WG. They're just a bit too... ambitious and the QC isn't up to scratch. Now ambition is great, generally speaking but unfortunately wen it comes to KS, overly-ambitious projects end up over-promising and the backers are the ones left paying for it in the end.

I'm left with the proposition of QAing well over a hundred models, airing them out for over a week, washing them with soap, airing them again and then seeing which ones are still leaking resin juice, I then need to either write off huge amounts of cash, or contact RH for replacements. I unfortunately have limited time to spend on the hobby, and finding the time to do all of that is not easy, or frankly a life priority. Then do I contact them for every batch of models?

And do I do that as a priority in my limited hobby time, or something that I'll actually enjoy?

Like I said, more effort to deal with than is worthwhile. I've learned my lesson now.
