I was just looking in a recent White Dwarf at the Golden Demon entries and noticed what look like a crapload of Primarch models entered. I saw some threads here with pictures that look an awful lot like these guys, but I thought they were not sanctioned minis, so what's the deal?

You know when the Space Emperor loves himself very, very much he creates a little primarch.
Often they are an awful load of green stuff with some 40k bits. Mostly greenstuff. Sometimes there is a C'Tan involved. But mostly green stuff. Yeah that's it.

The minis you're seeing were done by a group of painter-modellers who got together and decided they would all do Primarchs and enter them into GD. Very neat stuff. I know at least one of them posts here, so no doubt someone will come along to post the link to the project sooner or later; sadly I've forgotten it.
