So what does everyone think about the 15% (or, if you're unlucky, 20%) postage that FW charges on their items? They aren't doing free postage this CHristmas, which is a shame. I probably won't buy anything from them in the run up to Christmas.

It is utter crap. I never order from them until I go to a Games Day or find the item I want in a GW shop. Their model prices are already exorbitantly high for what they are, so I refuse to be further robbed by the modern Robin Hoods of Nottingham...

I'm not as emotional about it as Beast, but it is more than I'm willing to pay. The models are expensive already, Canadian customs will add about 20% and 15-20% postage... It's just too many nickels and dimes.

Postage is as inflated as all the other prices.
Postage alone has cancelled an order or 2 from me.
Best advice is to find atleast 1 other person to make an order with and get the total over $500 for free express delivery.

I know going in that everything from FW is over-priced. So it really doesn't bother me.
FW isn't doing the free shipping because they are over flowing with orders from Apocaypse's release right now and can't afford to take a bunch more. Really poor planing on their part.

I thought the UK would get more of a discount on shipping, but I re-read their shipping policy. Twelve percent for you, whoo.

Yeah you're right, 12% UK and 15% RoW. I thought it was more than that.

Do you all think that because of APOC they are playing a 'Trump' card with postage?
IE if I was dying of thirst in the desert, and you offered me a glass of water for $1000, I would buy it.
APOC = $$$'s. So we all need SHV's and Titans......(and other stuff, I know! ) so seeing as APOC was released this year, let's give 'em a spanking with postage...

No, they're not playing a 'trump.' They're playing a 'we're already swamped with orders, if we do our usual Christmastime deal of free shipping for orders over £100, we're not going to clear the backlog until June.'

They'll feel sorry for it later when their backlog clears up faster than it could have and nobody plays Apocalypse anymore.

My oath.
Of course it is a dollars driven decision. They ARE a business. As for back-logs not being able to be cleared till Jun, if my business traded only in the stock we have on-hand, we wouldn't last long. However, that being said, we never stop taking orders, and hire extra temp staff to help with any back-logs.
To say 'due to us being busy, we are going to waive our postage offers' is outright thievery. And if GW condones this after the release of Apoc, then the decision makers are a little short-sighted, IMO.
