Hi there,

Sofar I've have not seen any posts yet onn thsi subject but the high elf book is apart from contents not flawless.

I got myself a copy and to my suprise several pages have some serious misprints.

I my copy page 42 and 43 where replaced by an copy of page 56 and 57.
Which is cool because now I have two identical description of the white lions of chrace of something similar to that.
On the other hand now I miss out on the description of speed of asurman and blood of the ancients .

Further inspection yielded 3 more errors like this, and the pages are NOT somewhere else in the book .

Ouch. That's pretty bad. If you have a local GW, take it in. They may be able to replace it for you.

If not, call direct services.

eBay that sucker -

"RARE GW Misprint"

'Rarely does the wonderful Games Workshop make mistakes of any kind, but now you have he opportunity to own an example of this incredibly RARE occurance'

- Or substitute 'rare' with 'regular', or 'common' whatever.

Awesome! I've seen this book before, and trust me, p42 and p43 are the best two pages in the book. The pages that you're missing are poo, so you're not missing out on anything. You are one lucky guy.

My copy is fine so yours must be some kind of printing error. Return it for a good copy.

Aww, I thought this would be the start of a thread about how they messed up the BSB's rules so he can now take shields, great weapons, etc.

Instead he just got a bad copy.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

If I would play high elves I would be seriously P*****d with the mistake but my
"love" goes out to the little geen men in black (night goblins) .

I have already talked to the store where I bought it from. They will do a replacement .

What I find more worrying is that GW's quality control is slipping.
Apart from misprints (did anyone notice that last WD (UK) had a full page in spanish) problems occur in:
packaging (blisters with wrong or missing parts) and production (sprue's start showing up with horrific mouldlines
distorted metal bits etc.)

I think sometimes people notice it more. I have probably bought more product this year than usual, and I have only had one slip up. They didn't include the DA vehicle sprue with my army box set. After all was said and done I ended up with a bike squad with the sprue for free. Not bad at all.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I also agree that GW quality control does seem to be slipping - however, their response if you point out a problem is a good as it ever was. A friend of mine trekked down to GW HQ in Nottingham on Apocalypse release day, and bought the book, only to find half the data sheets were missing, replaced with blank pages. When he pointed this out, the staff gave him a new one, but also took in incorrect one, and had all the blank pages signed by members of the design studio. So now he has a rather unique Apocalypse book.

Anyway, take it to a store and point it out, and you should get a new one. It's easy if it's provable like that. If you say "hey look, a sprue is missing" they usually take your details down, because unscrupulous people where abusing the system, so they keep track of what people are having stuff replaced.

pages being in the wrong place is not GW's fault. it is the publishers fault. and more than likely that whole print run will be wrong.

Dude, you write a sentence like that and are complaining about misprints?

Seriously, take it back and get a new one. I think your might be a limited incident.
