November Releases.

ORC Troop with Boarding Shotgun (Jose Luis Roig)

Keisotsu Butai (Yannick Hennebo)

Irmandinhos (Michaƫl Bigaud)

Hellcat with HMG (Yannick Hennebo)

I really love the Orc w/boarding shotgun (how can a woman with so much armor still look sexy ), but my favorites are the Irmandinhos. SO much personality in those figures. Must collect Ariadna now . . .

They look pretty good, but the new releases are kind of losing their impact on me now. They all feel a bit similar, they should mix it up a bit. Some big robots would do the trick.

These are kind of crappy compared to what I'm used to seeing from the Infinity guys. The first few are just more of the same, only more boring, and the Hellcat is like a parody of all the female body-suited models they've done. "Halp, I'm falling!" pose, gigantic gun, small body, buns of steel--male gaze ftw!

Wehrkind wrote:Sounds like a lot, but with a little practice I can do ~7-8 girls in 2-3 hours. Probably less if the cat and wife didn't want attention in that time.

Ah! Then you will be pleased to know that there will be 2 more released at the beginning of the year and one will have a grenade launcher!

Is that so? Superb news then, thanks. Every month I'm anxious to discover infinity new miniatures... would love to see some themed terrain kits like hexagon stuff or even some scifi ships or tanks from corvus belli.

Yes, I think a lot of people will agree with you. I'd like to see some terrain elements too. It seems like the terrain that is out there doesn't quite fit the theme of Infinity. This table here: Link, is what I imagine the Infinity world to be like.

lovely table, packed with cool details, it's a pleasure to look at and should be so nice to play with one of those...
Even if i realy like that table I imagine infinity landscape more like:

Scifi city with grafittis, neons, very dirty and darkish.

I have never liked the super-dynamic poses. The Yu Jing are particularly good though I prefer SF troops to have helmets -- could always be modified/replaced with a bit of work.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Wow, I would prefer that. Now it just remains for someone to actually make it!

But the Keisotsu are the "brave/foolish warriors," they cannot be bothered with such basic protection.

i quite like the more models for my city fight guard army irmandinhos

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Keisotsu

Sweet! I've been looking for models for my Imperial Guard "Hammer Pants" unit.

Less impressed with this batch than I have been with Infinity's previous ones. The poor Hellcats' look like they can barely hold on their guns, the Irmandinhos are also forgettable.

Still like the Orc design and the Keisotsu are adorable with those pants but the Infinity color scheme is just not doing it for me anymore now. Stale.

F'Goodness' sake, you can always paint your own colours.

It's a pity that Infinity does not have a range of separate heads/helmets like Pig Iron. It makes the figures much more customisable.

I wonder if the Hellcat figure could be chopped about a bit to make it less extreme.

That is a drawback of most dynamically posed figures, they are not as easily customized as figures composed from generic sprues. You could replace the weapon, but even that would require some modeling. Sorry. :(

People choose to paint their figures in many different ways. Angel Giraldez is a great painter, but I prefer more subdued and analogous schemes like this from Pandera:

A clean, mean green fighting machine!

Regarding re-posing, I was thinking of chopping off the head, drilling the legs to let her stand up and leaning forwards in a running pose, then replace the head looking forwards to the direction of the run rather than down the gun. I like the weapon.

Well, if you are that good then anything is possible! I can't wait to see it! She'll look like a whole different figure.

It will be a long wait, I'm afraid.

All my modelling tools and painting kit are locked up in a container in the port of Tokyo for the next three months.

Also I have to actually buy the figure and examine it to see if the project is do-able.
