There seems to have been an influx of new members probably attracted by the site upgrades, so kudos to Yak for his improvements.

These new guys are kicking up their heels a bit and that is a good thing. It stimulates discussion and re-examination of issues.

Obviously we don't all agree with everything. Perhaps new members are liable to cause annoyance due to being unfamiliar with arguments from the past, and the way things are done around here (Dakka culture.)

Even so, I welcome everyone who has something interesting to say, and says it intelligently and (reasonably) politely. New blood is a good thing so long as it is the right kind of blood. Given time they will find their way. A re-invigorated Dakka will be to the good of all the members.

Seriously, punctuation and a lack of internetspeak will be helpful, although forgive us old farts who can't type.

Also, those who have proved themselves to be intelligent and well-spoken tend to get a bit more slack than a new, unknown personality. Some perceive it as post-count discrimination, but it's simple human bias for being more comfortable with what's familiar.

Oh I started here without putting up a fight I just stayed with the crazy laughing guys.
