Welcome to Dakka Dakka, arguably the Internet's oldest wargaming forum. We have just switched to the fifth incarnation of Dakka and are adding a lot of new features over the coming year so it is a great time for new members to join in!

This forum exists for new members to introduce themselves to everyone else and to ask any questions which dont have obvious answers and that cant be found clearly elsewhere on the dakka site. If you are a new member then just click here to post your first message and let us know what you play, what armies you have, what you want to collect, where in the world you are from or whatever else you want to say.

Existing members are encouraged to help welcome new members here but please remember that this is the sandbox forum for new members and so please be extra patient with them here

Hi,
I'll forgo any intros as you can all see my handle for this sight, not as original but it works. I've been playing for the better part of 4 or 5 years. I started with the Eldar and have moved on to Space Marines...and am working on another army afterwards. I mostly have rules questions as the group I game with never really gives me any straight answers.
Any way I hope I can get a few answers here, as I'm still learning some of the more obscure rules of 40k.

~3,000 7/2/2 (since 5th ed came out.)
~6,000 2/1/0
~1000 (still under construction, and may not continue this until new codex comes out...I'm going to be waiting a while)

Hello fellow gamers

im a complete newbie to forums but i really feel that if i hear other gamers insight on my army and strategies it might improve my odds in putting up a good fight in the game, not necessarily to win but to just be able to hold my own in a fight. anyway the game i play is Warhammer 40000 and yes i do play generic space marines, its my first serious army ive had fun with it so far but i want to explore other options on flexibility and variation on my force organization and not use the same old set up every time and people get used to it and know just what to use to counter my army. here i hope i can learn some pointers and share some pictures of my painted models. oh umm im from the US in California, im a student ,ive been playing every wed for the past 5 or 6 months and recently organized an Apocalypse game.... ummm yeah thats all i got. i love this hobby

my armies

Main: Space Marines, with Witch Hunter allies or Grey Knight allies

In the works: Tyranid remnant army

Spare troops: Imperial Guard (Cadian)

Welcome to everyone who posted here. I'm going to lock this thread now though, so that new members can post their own new thread in the introductions forum.

(if you are not sure how to do this, click here to go to the introduction forum main page, then click on the 'new topic' button when logged in), then just enter a title and a brief message saying hello, and watch the welcome messages flood in to your thread.
