I don't understand why before the 10th Millenium there was more grimness and darkness than war.
It seems to me that war should remain a high constant, along with both grimness and darkness.

I'm sure that if there were a separate statistic for hugs we would see that a marked decrease in the amount of hugs directly correlates to the worrying increase in grimness, darkness, and war.

just a question as i'm analysing this graph, what is the relative scale relative to, is it to each other, as in more grimness relative to say flower arranging, or is it relative to a point in time, which i would presume to be 1 on the graph, so this would be 40KAD,
the problem is, either the y-axis scale which is incorrectly labelled, or the anthing else line is wrong, as it should be at 1 at 40KAD also, but then higher than 1 for the rest of existence.

There was no year 0.
1,000 to 1 BC is the last millenium BC, then you flip to year 1 AD and the start of the first millenium AD.
Everyone got it wrong at the end of 1999, but we all had a good party anyway.

Well the chart just goes to show that its all about living in 19000 or so where grimness is at its lowest ever. I call it the ago of hope.

Funny enough, the age of hope where grimness and darkness were at all time lows is also the age in which the amount of war shot up tremendously. Apparently there must ahve been lots of very shiney, happy, killers out there going about those wars. Maybe that's the time when the pretty marines were created. And lets not forget the other Sanrio marines and orcs.

If by "Anything else" you include "tapping that ass"....for those without the slang chip, I refer to making the beast with two backs....then I'm affraid that graph is totally wrong!
Look at how many worlds are populated, look at the average Hive world populations, and check out the guard!
In the 41st millenium there maybe only war, but theres never been a better time to get a piece of ass!

Yes but you have to fill in a lot of forms to get it.
Religious zeal declaration, genetic purity form, Daemon waiver, IG recruitment registration, psionics test certificate, Freedom from Chaos taint assertion, and there are several more.

In IA5, there are references to an extensive use of controversial reproduction techniques (genetic materials go in machine, machine creates person a few months later) on some worlds (Krieg in this instance).
As far as the Guard, the fluff seems pretty firm that outside of a few highly militarized worlds like Cadia most regiments are PDF and never leave the planet, so it is not going to have a huge impact on global gender balance.
Certainly that doesn't impact the entire galaxy, but its still an issue.
