News from Dragonblood Miniatures:
Some new concept art has come in from the talented hands of Kennon James. This brute is Clal-chk, Bounty Hunter of the Sunless Forest, and will be sculpted soon.

That's what the Vespid should have been. Looks very cool.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Their concept to model transfer seems very good.
Gives me hopes for the model, because the concept is really promising.

He's definitely joining my Rogue Trader's retinue.

Depending on the size, I might grab a few for Vespid conversions. At the very least, the head would be an improvement while still bearing some semblance to the Vespid concept art.

Notice the beetle ammo on his bandolier and one loaded into the gun. I like his Amanaman-ish trophy staff too.

Huh. When did Zuckuss start slumming in miniature form?

I keed, I keed. I dig the concept art.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Good idea! Sculpt some robes on him and give him a rebreather...

He's like a Kroot/Vespid. The gun is all Kroot.

Kinda looks like Tars Tarkiss from the John Carter of Mars series. I think it could use a couple more arms, but it might do well as is, depending on how it turns out.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Ouch. That beetle ammunition looks like it would hurt.

If the miniature is good, he would definitely work as a mercenary type alien in a Tau army. The gun looks very Kroot-ish.

Maybe I'm biased, but the gun looks more tyranid to me... especially the trigger part (lack of better word).

I see what you're saying, but the shape of the gun and the stock, along with the spike on the barrel, reminds me a lot of the weapons the Kroot carry.
